Freya's POV

"You've failed. I'm going to cast this curse and find out why you've hidden your lives from me and Liam. I don't want to see you both looking for me. Because you will never find me, nor will you stop me." I shouted and disappeared in a cloud of black smoke.

I needed time. Time to think things through. No matter how much my parents apologized to me I would never be able to forgive them. So I just took myself to the middle of the forest to clear my head. Walking took my mind off things. I walked for hours on end and began to get tired after a while. I sat on a log in the middle of nowhere and began to read the storybook that I had taken with me along with the dagger.

"I see you've revealed the truth about your parents. Such a shame you have to fight over it." I turn around and standing there is Rumpelstiltskin. "What are you doing here?" I snapped at him. "I'm here to help you. You see I know what its like to have so much power in your hands." He said reaching for the dagger. I tightened my grip on it and pointed at him. "Don't even think about touching this." I said harshly. "I wouldn't dream of it. I'm here to help you with your curse problem." He smiled at me. "How do you know about that?" I said standing up facing him. "That little page that dropped on the ground has a prophecy on it dearie." He said pointing at the sheet on the ground.

"How can you help?" I asked curiously. "I made the curse dearie. I know all the bits and bobs about it. I know what you need and where it is hidden." He explained to me. "Well I'm not planning on going back to my parents castle any time soon." I replied. "Well there is the dark ones castle." Rumple smirked. I froze and stared at him. "What?" I asked. "The dark ones castle. The castle me and Belle just moved out of. All the furniture is still there and I don't think anyone is planning on moving in." Rumple smirks even more. "Take me there." I smiled. "Uh how about you take us there. You do have magic." Rumple explained to me. "Oh right yeah." I replied. I thought about the castle and me and Rumpelstiltskin went in a cloud of black smoke.

We appeared outside the castle and I opened the doors. It was pitch black so I lit all the candles in the castle with my magic, which must have amused Rumple. "Your getting a bit handy with that magic aren't you?" Rumple says smiling. "Quiet. Now is there a library in this castle?" I snapped. "Yes there is. Second floor and first set of double doors on your right." Rumoke explains. I run up to where Rumple told me and saw the door. I went to open it but of course it was locked. I wiped my hand over it and it immediately unlocked.

The library was packed with books, books and more books. It was a never ending room with hundreds of bookshelves and I had no idea where to start. I set down the storybook and the dagger and looked around. "This isn't very helpful. Well it is. But I could be here all say looking for one book." I snapped at Rumple. "See that little safe over there. Open it. You won't be spending more than a minute looking for the book you seek." Rumple says. I stared at him and walked towards a safe that was stored under a bookshelf. I lifted it up and set it on a table. I wiped my hand over it and it opened. Inside there was a black book and on top a little scroll. I lifted them both out and opened the book first.

I flipped through the pages and all it really told me was what the curse did. It erased memories, pulled love ones apart, takes away people's happy endings and left people feeling conflicted and confused. It also stated some reasons. Like for revenge or to get your own happy ending. My reason was just mainly to see why my parents hid their entire pasts from me and Liam. Me and Liam deserve to know the truth and we had been lied to our whole lives practically. "This isn't giving me my answer." I said slamming the book. "How about looking at that little scroll of yours." Rumple points at the scroll that had fallen to the ground when I slammed the book. I picked it up and unravelled it.

"A heart of the thing I love most." I whispered. "That's the price of the curse? I don't know who that is? I've never really loved anyone." I said confused. "I'll soon get that drilled in your head. You do love someone. You just don't want to admit it." Rumple riddles. "Enough riddling. What do I do?" I asked. "Well, thats up to you. But I must go to my wife now. We will begin tomorrow." He smiled. "Begin what?" I asked. "Your transformation."

Killian's POV

"Liam... We've been keeping things from you and Freya and we just want to tell you that it was for you and Freya's best chances and we never intended to hurt you both." Emma says beginning to cry. She sits beside Liam on his bed and looks him in the eyes. "What is it mom? What's going in with Freya and why did she run off?" Liam asks Emma. "She was just upset. You know she takes things more seriously than everyone else." Emma smiles while still crying. "Is she coming back?" Liam asks. "She should. She just needs to calm down." I say to him. Emma cries even more and I tell her to go to our room to calm down.

"Liam. Me and your mom didn't meet in this realm. We meet in a realm that had no magic and your mom was a saviour. Then she became the dark one to save everyone. We thought we got rid of the darkness but apparently we didn't. It would be easier to explain if we had the storybook but Freya took it with her." I began to explain. "Why did Freya get upset then?" Liam asks. "Because we got a prophecy about her when she was a baby and apparently she was going to become dark and cast a curse over us just like the one that was set over your grandparents and others in the kingdom. I fear the prophecy might be coming true." I tell him. "No, it won't. I'll confront her. I'll find her and tell her what she is doing is wrong." Liam explains. "Its not that simple Liam." I replied. "Just get some sleep son. Its been all long day." I said standing up. I walked towards the door and turned off the light. "Goodnight dad." Liam whispers. "Goodnight son." I replied.

I walked into my room and Emma was crying her eyes out, sitting in our bed. "Emma..." I said walking up to her and hugging her. "I couldn't.. Tell him.. It was too painful." Emma said studdering. "Its okay." I said trying to soothe her. "She might never come back home Killian. She might try and stay away from us for as long as possible. I just don't want her to cast the curse." Emma continued to cry. "She won't. We will stop her before then. Try not to think the worse." I said hugging her tighter. She soon fell asleep in my arms and I tucked her into bed. I closed the balcony doors and turned off the lights.

I lay down thinking about it over and over. Who does Freya live the most to crush their heart? If she did cast the curse will I lose Emma and Liam? I couldn't wrap my head around it. I tried to Dall asleep but nothing happened. I just stared at the ceiling feeling conflicted about everything.

Authors note: Wow long chapter! How do you guys fell about me pairing Freya and Rumple together? Having mixed feelings about it but hopefully it turns out all good.

I have a new updating schedule! One day I'll update this book, the next I'll update my other book "Unexpected love". Then next I'll update this book and so on! I hope this doesn't cause any inconveniences!
