Chapter fifteen: Starting fresh

Killian's POV

"Thank you for taking care of them." Emma says to the nanny. "It was a pleasure your majesty. They were both little angels." The nanny says. "Thank you again." I said. She curtseyed and left the nursery. "I can't imagine how confused their little minds are. Not even knowing what lies in the future." Emma's says picking up Liam. She sat down on one of the rocking chairs and cradled him in her arms. I stood beside Freya's cot but she was asleep so I didn't lift her. Instead I sat on the other rocking chair and stared at Emma holding Liam.

"How are we going to break this to everyone? What are we supposed to say?" Emma explains. "No one will know, we won't tell no one. All we have to do is wait." I explained to her. She nodded. "Its time to start fresh Emma. Just forget about all of this and let our kids grow up into amazing human beings in which we shall be proud of." I say standing up and walking up to Emma. She stands up and places a sleeping Liam in his cot. "They are perfect in my eyes. No matter what." Emma says. I hug her tightly and hold her head in my hand. "Now, may I escort a princess to a ballroom?" I asked. "A ballroom? Its 9pm and you want to dance?!" She laughed quietly. I bowed and she curtseyed and I guided her down the stairs hooding her hand.

We reached the biggest ballroom in the castle and one of the orchestras violin players was practicing in their space. "Perfect." I said walking towards him. "You can't be serious? I thought you were kidding, you know how bad of a dancer I am!" She tries to tell me. "And that is why your amazing husband is here to guide you and he doesn't care if a few toes are stepped on." I laughed. She giggled and blushed when I said it. I stepped back and stretched my arm out. Emma giggled some more and curtseyed.

Emma's POV

We started to glide across the ballroom floor and the violinist played soft music that was easy to dance to. I didn't even step on Killian toes once which made us laugh when we were done. We danced for at least an hour but it felt like less as we both enjoyed it so much.

We walked up to our room and I stood out the balcony. Killian came behind me shortly after wearing his long bed robe and he tied the strings in a knot. "You scared me." I said jumping when he touched my shoulder."well forgive me love I guess your just the jumpy type." Killian laughs. "Yeah I guess." I said placing my head in his shoulder. "Are you sure a fresh start is what we need?" I asked him. He lifted my chin and stared into my eyes. "Emma , you worry far too much. Everything will be fine and the best thing to do is start fresh and they to forget everything that has happened and live normally." He said. I gazed into his ocean blue eyes and he placed his hand on my cheek. I nod in agreement and he pulls me into a hug.

After hugging each other for a good few minutes I heard a muffled crying sound. "The twins..." I said pulling out of the hug. "I'll get them." I said rubbing my eyes and dragging myself out of the room. "No love, you go to bed and I'll get them. You look exhausted." Killian says pulling me back. "Okay. Thank you" I whispered. He kissed me and walked up the corridor. I sighed and threw my pyjamas on. I fell into bed and quickly fell asleep.

Killian's POV

I walked into the twins room and saw Liam crying and Freya fast asleep. I lifted Jim up and rocked him to quiet him down. I changed him and he quickly fell asleep. I placed him back in his crib. I kissed both of their tiny cheeks and turned of the light and switched on the night light again. I walked back down the corridor and back into me and Emma's room

When I walked in Emma was fast asleep in bed. The balcony doors were wide open and so were the curtains. She must have been so tired to not even realize as the room was freezing. I quickly closed the doors and closed over the curtains. I grabbed a few thick blankets from our drawers and placed them over Emma to keep her warm. I got into bed and held her hand. She didn't even flinch wlshe was in such a deep sleep. I quickly fell asleep too as I too was tired.

Authors note: I feel like all my chapters are finishing the same way? Idk if its just me being paranoid but anyways here's the chapter and I'm sorry it was a bit late today x
