Chapter three: On the brink of tears

Killian's POV

I woke up and looked at the grandfather clock in our room. It read 10:42am. I finally could sleep in as I didn't have training anymore as Emma was heavily pregnant. She slowly starts to wake up too. "Good morning love, how are you feeling?" I ask her. "I'm happy that your still here and not away to training till late at night" she replies. I hug her close and I can feel the baby kicking against my side. "Wow that baby loves to kick!" I repeat. Emma giggles and sits up. "Come on let's get ready for this appointment!" She reminds me.

Less than 40 minutes later we were ready to leave the castle. We walked downstairs and there was decorations everywhere. Neal's 2nd birthday. Emma walked up and hugged Neal. "Happy birthday little bro! I will give you your presents when we come back!" Emma explains to him. He jumps up and down and claps his hands. "Good luck at the appointment you two! Tell us how it goes!" Snow says excitedly. We both nodd and hop into a carriage.

Emma's POV

The carriage ride to the hospital wasn't very long, around 15 minutes at most. I look out the window at the forest for most of the ride, not speaking. "Emma? Are you alright love?" I look up and see killian trying to talk to me. "Oh I'm fine! Just excited, they finally have an ultrasound machine. We can look at our baby!" I tell him. He looks confused but goes along with it. The carriage stops and we walk into the hospital and take a seat in the waiting room.

"Miss.Swan?", I hear a voice call out. We both stand up and walk towards the room. 'Soon they will be saying Mrs. Jones. In less than a week!" He says excitedly. I laugh and we walk into the room. I lay on the bed and the nurse puts the freezing cold gel in my bump. She turns on the machine and checks my heart as it sets up. "Your heart is pretty strong to go through a pregnancy less than a year after surgery." She tells me. We all giggle. The machine had finished setting up and she rubbed the monitor on the bump until it stopped fuzzing.

"Oh my goodness" the nurse gasps. "What? What's wrong?" I say worried. "I'll..... I'll be right back" she sahs before running out of the room. I start to cry uncontrollably. What did she see? Was there something wrong with my baby? "Emma.... Im sure everything is fine" Killian tries to comfort me. I could hear and see him crying in the corner of my eye. I hug him tightly and we both cry in each others shoulders.

Killian's POV

"Look at the monitor, i don't know if its playing tricks or not." I look up and the nurse had entered with Dr.whale. "nope, its right. And its pretty clear too." Whale tells the nurse. "Is my baby ok?" Emma says holding back her tears. "Emma... Your babies are fine." Whale continues. Wait what? Babies? "Babies? I'm only have one child." Emma states. "No Miss. Swan your having twins, congrats you two!" The nurse says as she turned the screen around.

The journey home was silent. Only Emma's soft crying sounds filled the carriage. "How are we going to do this Killian?" She says breaking the silence. "Do what love?" I ask. "Have twins? We were just about ready for one baby now we have two and Henry! I'm not ready Killian." She says crying heavily. "Hey you will be an amazing mother to these twins!" I explain to her. I grab her hand and she grabs my hook. "I'm just in the verge of crying in a corner and never coming out" she replies.

"Emma?" I say softly. "Mmhm" she hums. "Do you think... Do you think you can give me a new hand? You know so I don't hurt the babies ... Or you?" I ask nervously. "Killian, I'm sure you would never hurt the babies or me! But if you really want me to yes, I will." She says. My face lights up. "Thank you love!" I reply. "We will get through this, but first let's get married!" I say.

Authors note: Another long chapter. I don't really want any short chapters anymore as they are sort of boring. But yeah surprise!!!
