Chapter 5

Manik and cabir gave a wonderful presentation. The directors were really impressed and they bagged the contract for their company.

After the presentation, Manik rushed to Cabir and hugged him right.

While Manik's dad looked at both of them with awe.

He said,
Son, I am so proud of you today. You have taken the responsibility of all work so well in your hands. I have total assurance that our business is safe in your hands.

There could be no prouder moment for a son than this. Walking on his father's footsteps and making him proud. But Manik was different.

Manik thanked his dad plainly and said 'You know the music will and always be my first priority. Business is just another part of my life.'

Yes, Fab5, his band, his gang always came first for Manik, and he dreamt of making it a huge label in the future.

Mr. Malhotra smiled, congratulated Cabir, and left.

Meanwhile,

Nandini took all details about Manik's schedule and the projects. She was all set to meet her boss.

She bumped into Cabir while on her way to Manik's cabin.

Cabir: So all set to meet your boss?

Nandini: Nervously said, yes.

Cabir: All the best.

Nandini: Thank you.

Nandini headed towards Manik's cabin.

She knocked on the door. Manik didn't look up and said 'Come in.'

She entered and cheerfully greeted Manik 'Good Morning Sir!'

Manik was sitting on his chair facing the wall. Nandini couldn't see his face.

Manik turned and his eyes popped out.
Nandini turned pale in shock.

Manik: You?

Nandini: You?

Manik: Why are you in my cabin?

Nandini : (Ohh he doesn't know yet. Be ready for a shocker)

Manik: Did you say something?

Nandini: No. I mean yes, she fumbles.
Sir, I have been appointed as your new PA by Cabir sir.

Manik: What? You?

Nandini: Yes sir.

Manik: What has happened to Cabir and his choices. This clumsy girl and he calls her perfect? He murmured to himself.

Nandini: Sir? (Pulling Manik out of his thoughts)

Manik: Okay. So you are my new PA which means you are here to help me with all my work, he asked with an evil grin.

Nandini: Yes sir.

Manik: So your first task of the day. Make me a black coffee and the perfect one and bring it in 10mins and Miss Nandini, one mistake in the coffee and you will be done here for the day. Got it?

Nandini : (Little scared) Okay sir.

Nandini leaves.

Nandini's Pov:

I am his PA, not his servant. How was he talking? And why do I have to make coffee? This is not in my work profile.
But yes I could sense there was some pain his eyes? Or I don't know what. But there was something.

Oh shit. How mad am I? He said 10 minutes and I have wasted 5 on thinking stupid things. I need to rush.

Pov ends

Nandini makes a really nice coffee, putting her best efforts and brings it to the Cabin.

Manik's cabin

Nandini: May I come in Sir?

Manik: Yes. There you are. Late as usual? Where is my coffee?

Nandu: Here sir.
(She hands over the cup to him)

Manik takes a sip, the coffee is really nice but Manik being Manik doesn't want Nandini to feel like she has left a good impression on him.

Manik's acting

Manik: What the hell? Yuck. This is how you make coffee?
You don't know how to make one coffee and you are here to take the post of my PA?

Nandu: (Has tears in her eyes, but controls) Sorry sir, that is all she could manage to say.

Manik: Just go away from here.

Nandini rushes out and goes to the washroom.

Aaiyappa, He is such a monster. (Says Nandini sobbing loudly.)

Someone knocks on the washroom door.
