"Let's go on a date," Grant causally says one Saturday afternoon as we lie on his bed.

"To where?"

"First, we'll go to the burger place," he laughs when I immediately perk up at the idea, "Then, we'll walk around and enjoy the November air."

"Sounds like you have no idea of what to do," I say jokingly.

"Sounds like I'm a romantic boyfriend."

I roll over and hug him, my head resting on his bare chest, listening to his heart drum away, "I appreciate the gesture, love."

"I'm glad," he kisses my head, "C'mon, let's head out."

My eyes widen, looking at my sweatpants and long-sleeved shirt, "Now? In these?"

Grant checks me out as he pulls on a shirt, making me blush, "You look beautiful. Just pull on a light jacket, I don't want you getting a cold."

I grab my jacket, which is strewn on a chair, "Alright, let's go."

He reaches for my hand, pulling me closer to him and kissing my head again. I sigh in content, linking my arm around his waist.

"What's your favorite city?" I ask, remembering the time Grant forced me out to eat so long ago. We've definitely come a long way since then.

"Venice, Italy," he says without hesitation, making me smile at that, "What about you?"

"If only there was a city named after you," I grin, "but I agree with you. Favorite scent? I like vanilla and coffee."

Grant chews on his fries before saying, "The smell outside after it stops raining. Favorite person?"

"That's too hard," I laugh, "Can my family be categorized as a person?"

"Am I not your favorite person?" Grant pouts and widens his gray eyes.

"You're part of my family," I solemnly say, grabbing his hand and running my fingers over his knuckles.

He watches our linked hands with adoration. He lowers his voice, so that only I can hear him speak, "I love you so fucking much, Venice."

"I love you, too, Grant," I whisper, "Always."

I can't express how much I love these two people. Oh man, I'll really miss them....
