Chapter 5

"Katie! Get up you zombie!" Alice said, and kicked me gently in the side. I opened my eyes slowly. "School starts in six minutes, and you're wearing same clothes as yesterday," she informed me.

"Okay, give me some clean clothes, and I'll change under that blanket," I said, and rubbed my eyes. Lizzy threw a blue shorts, and a white tank top to me, and I changed.

"We can leave all the stuff outside my house and you'll just pick it up after school," Lizzy said. We had packed everything, and started to walk towards her house. It was only 300 meters. We dumped the stuff at the terrace, and walked as fast as we could to school. Ricky looked at his watch.

"Last one to make it to school is a dork!" then he started to run. When we realised what he said we started to run too, but he was too fast for us. We arrived at the school only ten minutes late.

"Okay, see you later, folks," me and Lizzy said to Alice and Ricky, and then turned to our classroom.

"Well, look at that! Katie McLaine and Lizzy Brandson are late for a class! First time in history, isn't it?" Mr Loren said as we entered the classroom. We smiled and nod, and then found our seats.

"Hi honey," a deep voice whispered in my ear. I blushed as I heard him call me that.

"Hi,” I answered and smiled at him.

"So, can I sit with you?" he asked.

"Of course, where?" I asked.

"Oh, you misunderstood. I meant with you and your friends," he explained and winked at me.

"Really?" I asked, a little sceptically.

"Yeah sure, I want to get to know them," he said and shrugged.

"Okay, if you really want to then alright," I answered, and we headed towards Lizzy, Alice and Ricky, already sitting on our table.

"Hi guys, this is Will Barnes," I said, as Alice made kiss mouth.

"Hiiii Will," they all said in annoying voices, and winked at me. We sat down, and just had the best lunch ever. All my friends behave, okay, he most of the time… and when Will walked me to my classroom he kissed me on the cheek. That was such a good feeling I wasn't able to concentrate at all the rest of the day.

"Honey, you got to get up, breakfast is finish!" mom screamed in her sweet voice. I sat up in my bed, and realised something crazy. Today is my date with Will! Sweet mother of god, I can't believe this!

I rolled out of bed, and walked to the kitchen in my pyjamas, and my hair in a mess.

"You look crazy!" my little brother Tim said.

"Thank you very much, little monster," I replied. He is seven and just the most beautiful little boy ever. Most brothers and sisters fight all the time, sure we fight often too, but we're just so connected, we love each other and prove it. Not by screaming and fighting all over the place.

"Do you have plans today?" ma asked.

"Well, yeah. Will come here to pick me up at three," I said. I hadn't told her about the date yet.

"Oh! Will Barnes? He's such a cute boy, what are you guys doing?" she asked. I love my mom, she is always so supportive.

"Well, I don't know what we're going to do first, but later he'll make dinner and we'll watch a movie at his place," I said, hoping she would understand.

"Really? He cooks? You know how to pick guys, Katie! It’s great, but are you thinking about staying the night?" she asked.

"Yeah, I know!" I said and laughed a little. "I don't know, maybe. But nothing will..." I said, but ma interrupted me.

"Okay, it’s fine, Kat," she smiled, and took my hand. My mom is the best!

"Good, but anyway I'll send you a text if I stay, okay? And you really don't have to worry ma, you know that, right?" I said.

"Yeah, I know honey. So, Tim, do you have any plans today, something you want to do?" she asked.

We finished breakfast, and I walked to my room and played at the guitar until the clock was 2.10, then I started to get dressed.

I was just finish dressing up when I heard a car outside.

"He is here," mom said. I practically ran out in the living room. The bell rang.

"Okay, have fun sweetie," ma said, and I walked out to open the door.

"Hi," I said as I opened the door.

"Hi,” he said, and hugged me. When he pulled back he gave me a bunch of flowers.

"Here, you can just take them inside and put them in a vase," he said, and smiled the most beautiful smile at me.

"Oh wow! Thank you so much, you're so cute!" I said and smiled back at him. I walked back in, and gave them to ma.

"Oh my! You really, really know how to pick guys, he is so cute!" she said and took the flowers. I walked back out and he offered me his hand. We were at the car, and he opened my door.

"Alright, I have a surprise for you," he looked me deeply into my eyes, and bowed in and kissed me on my lips. My head exploded. Oh my god, I've never ever had this good feeling when I kissed someone before. I just wanted to stay like this forever and never move. Our lips fitted perfectly together.
