Katie's POV
"Will?" I whispered. We sat in his hospital room, all of us. Me, Lizzy, Alice, Ricky, Zara, my parents AND Will's family, we were a whole party in there!
He wasn't awake yet, but it was calming to hear his heart beats on a machine thing on his left. I sat in his right side, held his hand in mine, and stroke his face. So peaceful he looked! It was unbelievable to think that he almost just died.
Someone whispered behind me, but I didn't know who it was. My focus was totally on Will. We’d been here for a while, and it was actually starting to get boring, but suddenly he squeezed my hand gently.
“Will? Can you hear me?” I whispered. Not desperate this time.
Will’s POV
I’m throwing up. Why? What happened? I hear a voice. A girl’s voice. It’s stressed, but it’s telling me that everything will be okay. I think I recon it… Zara? I open my eyes. It’s like looking through glasses, but I get some sort of a, overview. Zara and Ricky is near me. Where are the other girls? I turn my head. They’re taking care of Katie. What’s wrong with her?
My vision turns black, but I can still hear. Someone is whispering. About me? Or is it just inside my own head? Where am I? I feel two pairs of arms on my body. I manage to move my feet forwards. Where am I going? They push me down, and I sit on a hard bench or something. I’m not able to sit straight. I feel so weak! All of a sudden I get a feeling of being rocked. How strange!
After a while the weird feeling stops, and someone lifts me up. Four pairs of hands. I feel like floating. Are they going to send me to heaven? Am I dead? No, they lay me down on something cold. Is it ice? I can’t tell.
It feels like ages, lying here, and I start to freeze. After not long, my whole body is shaking. Or maybe not. It should be shaking, and it would have if I was able to move. I try to sit up, but my body won’t move. I try to speak, but the words never leave my lips. Is there even someone to listen? Will anybody hear me if I scream? It doesn’t matter, I can’t scream, even if I want to. My lungs are burning, and every breath hurts like a knife in my chest.
“… lungs full of water…” Water, not fire. It feels like fire, is he sure my lungs are not burning?
“How is he holding up?”
“I don’t know.” Unfamiliar voices. I open my eyes slowly. My eyelids have never felt so heavy before, why? I see something white, only white. Is this heaven, am I with God now? What a silly thought, I’m not even Christian!
“Let them in.” I feel like falling, and everything turns black as the night.
***
I feel a small hand in mine, and squeeze it, not or purpose, it just happened.
“Will? Can you hear me?” What a beautiful voice! So nice, and soft, and full of love. I don’t hear the voice again. Why doesn’t it talk more?
“T-talk,” I say. My voice is low, and my throat is dry.
“What? What shall I say?” I smile. I am in heaven, and an angel sits on the side of my bed. “Well… it’s going to be fine, Will. How do you feel?” I open my eyes. Yes, she is an angel, I can see her wings. They’re big, and white, and beautiful. My smile is widening, but all of a sudden my vision turns black again. I try to hold on to the sight of the angel, but I loose myself into the darkness.
I feel so bad. My head, my lungs and my eyes hurt so badly, and I have needles in my body. I open my eyes, but can see nothing. It's probably night. Where am I? A door opens, and light blinds me for a sec. The light in my room is now on, and I see a person all in white. Everything is white in here.
