Black spots danced around my vision and I felt like I was on fire. My vision was blurry but I was positive I was not falling down anymore. The only thing that was clear to me was the fact that I had a little girl shouting on top of her lungs in my arms and that her hold around my neck was suffocating me.

But even after that, I was certain I wasn't falling down anymore. About three things I was absolutely certain.

I was certain the burning sensation all around my body was in fact an affirmative that I was going to live.

I was certain that as soon as I closed my eyes accepting my death a fiery ball collided with me.

I was certain that fiery ball was in fact The Human Torch.

"Are you out of your freaking mind?"Were the first words the guy I like said to me as his feet touched the ground.

Not, 'Did I burn you?'

'Are you okay?'

I nodded , "Are you okay?"

"Who are you?"The little girl's voice sounded hoarse, her eyes puffy from crying.

"My name's Ria"I said slowly, setting her down, kneeling down in front of her.

"Ria"Johnny's angry voice came, but I refused to respond, my attention solely focussed on the little girl. I tried smiling at her, but I'm positive it must've looked like a grimace as I felt my back burning.

"Rosalie" She said, touching my shoulder where a steady stream of blood flowed, making me jerk back up and my hand immediately cupping it.

"Johnny" I said, alarmed, "Victor...he" I gulped, "Fell with us."

Johnny looked like he wanted to say something more, but he just nodded, immediately taking a hold of my arm and running. To find him? To help me get medical help? to...

I found my answer as we rounded into a tree and saw Sue kneeling next to a worse for wear Reed. He had a black eye, a deep gash on his forehead and pale skin, but that was nothing compared to the huge stab wound opened in his stomach, it pulled me to an abrupt stop.

"What the hell?"I whispered, dropping down next to him too. Apparently Johnny took this as his cue to answer.

"von Doom fell from the building too, you were right," He said looking at Sue, "We need to find him"

"He'll be long gone by now" Reed wheezed.

"Don't talk Reed, Ben's getting help. Please hang on" Sue wrapped a cloth around the wound again, looking at me finally.

"What exactly happened Ria?"Her calm and steady voice frightened me. And I helplessly looked at Rosalie was hiding behind my kneeling frame.

I took a deep breath and started.

"I entered the holding quarters with you three, but had to take a little detour" Stopping I scanned Johnny's face for any traces of anger, finding none, I continued, "I had to find Vic-Victor on my own and I knew I wouldn't find a better opportunity to do so."

"I knew where his men were stationed and as I took you to find Reed avoiding them. I did the exact opposite, making my way to the guards, they instantly recognised me, and got me what I wanted. They brought me before Victor. That's how I ended up on the roof."

"When I got there though," I stopped glancing down at the little girl, who stared back at me with intent, "She was with him" I stopped, taking a hold of her hand I opened her palm "He was going to hang her"

Sue's sharp intake of breath did not go unnoticed by me, "I think I know why"

"Show me sweety"I whispered to Rosalie, urging her with my eyes, the same eyes with which she stared right back at me. I opened up my palm next to hers, frost forming over it instantly. Her eyes glowed as she saw my palm, a thin layer of frost coating her palm too now.
