Dolores opened her eyes finally. For three days she had been unconscious and for those three days Rafael hadn't left her side.

He couldn't bear to ,as a result of the bad news he'd been given, he hated himself. He regretted everything he had said to Dolores. He regretted fighting with her and upsetting her.

He was still unsure of what she told him but he hasn't seen her in the past month. His sister, Solana, had arrived the day the incident happened. She had told him about their mother's mischievous behaviors and her reason for living in Spain.

"Is that how you're going to welcome your big sister, Rafael?" Solana said as she released Fernando from a hug. She missed her brothers but she didn't want to live close to her hate-filled mother. She had experienced it first hand.

Her mother had confessed her life story to her one night she was drunk. Her father was away once again. She was fifteen old enough to know there was something wrong with her parents marriage.
Her mother had told her about the fake marriage to Mr King because of her parents. She thought she would be happy with all the wealth she had but she felt unloved like an inanimate object with all the attention he paid to Marie, her sister. She was still confused about how Marie and her mother's marriage were connected.

She planned she would not live in Italy when she was older and her husband, the love of her life, was just the answer to her prayers.

He gave her a tight smile. He was not in the mood. Right now, he was worrying why Dolores wasn't picking his calls. He hoped she had calmed down.

"Don't worry, papa will be fine. " Solana said reassuringly placing a hand on her brother's shoulder. She was worried about him, he looked disorganised.

"I know, Solana. It's good you've finally decided to visit. " Rafael says trying to lighten the mood.

"Hello Rafael. Fernando. " Prince Rostolava's thick Spanish voice called out. He shook hands with Rafael and Fernando as he curved his other hand round his wife's waist, pulling her closer. Solana smiled subconsciously as she entertained his affection.

Fernando and Rafael were silently happy and they approved of the Prince. He was good to their sister.

After the greetings, Aaron, Prince Rostolava made an excuse that he had some things to do and would be back later. He was actually giving his wife time to spend with her brothers, she had been away too long.

That was when Solana finally confessed to her brothers about their mother. She told them everything she knew and how she was in cahoots with the chauffeur, Paul.

"Water.." Dolores' groggy voice called out. Her throat was dry and it was hard for her to speak. She needs water.

Rafael was brought out of his reverie as he began to attend to Dolores' need. He called in a nurse.

"It's nice to see you're finally awake." She said as she pour water from a jug into a cup for Dolores. She drank it greedily and requested for more.

"Your husband here hasn't left your side." She said nodding towards Rafael. He was standing at the doorway.

"Why is love most shown at the hospital!" The nurse questioned to herself. She was talkative.

What was he doing? What am I doing here? She questioned herself and then she remembered everything that happened. How she was shivering and cold. The noise. The murmurings. Then the darkness.

Once Rafael saw the look of recognition on her face, he painfully slid out the door. He could not bear to be in there with her when she was given the news. He didn't want to see her hurt again. She probably will not want anything to do with him after she hears, he thought as he walked into the waiting room.
