Rafael woke up early in the morning. He stared at his beautiful wife resting her head on his chest. He could tell she was still sleeping from her soft, even breathing. He kissed her hair and quietly pulled himself from her, letting her lie on her back.

His wife got a year older today. He kissed her forehead before he walked into the bathroom. He had a quick shower, brushed his teeth and dressed up. Shutting his door and turning around only to see his three children. All in their night clothes. Leonardo and Fernando were bought grinning brightly at him as if they hadn't been sleeping moments ago. He could tell Angela was still sleepy. She was holding onto Leonardo's hand and rubbing her eyes.

"It's mommy birthday. " Fernando said to his father. He was happy he had caught up with them in time. He didn't want them waking Dolores up now.

Rafael picked up his chubby eighteen month old daughter. Angela didn't like waking up early at all. He knew her brothers particularly Leonardo, the one she looked up to, probably made her.

She gave her father a sleepy grin before she rested her head on his shoulder. She was one exact replica of her mother only difference was she had her father's green eyes. Her jet black hair rested on her shoulders in curls.

"Seepy daddy. " She whispered in his ear, not wanting Fernando to hear because he would tease her by calling her a baby.

He kissed her forehead and gave her a pat on the back.

"Yes you're right Fernando it's mommy birthday and I want to surprise her so promise you won't wake her up. " Angela's head rose up as she heard the word birthday.

"Yes darling it's mommy birthday. " Rafael said to her as they walked out the hallway to the kitchen.

"Mama. " Angela said, not showing an sign of fatigue anymore. She clapped her hands together when Rafael placed her on the high chair she loved so much. She smiled at him, pointing to her cheek to give her a kiss.

Rafael resigned to his daughter's wishes and placed a sloppy kiss on her cheek, smiling at her. She wiped her cheek frowning at the wet liquid on her head before she frowned at her daddy.

"Wet. " She said, testing the word on her lips before she began to repeat it continuously. "Wet wet wet...."

Rafael began making her breakfast. He brought out to bowls from the cabinet and dropped the box of cereal on the table for his sons. He helped each one pour cold milk into their bowls before they began to have breakfast.

Just then Fernando walked into the kitchen dressed up too. He gave little Angela a kiss on her cheek before he looked up at Rafael wondering why they were all awake.

"I don't know. " Rafael said shaking his head.

Angela wiped her cheek where Fernando kissed her, she wondered why her little palm was not wet.

"No wet. " she smiled at her uncle before she clapped her hands together again.

"Hungwee " Angela squealed from her high chair, reminding Rafael about her. He made her warm baby food in front of her. She liked to feed herself since she learnt how to hold the spoon because she saw her brothers eating themselves.
