So I tried updating but its only because I finished all my homework. Here you go ............
********************************************

I wipe my tears vigorously as I clutch Marie's hand.

She's finally awake. Thank goodness.

It's been two weeks after my accident and Marie has finally decided to show up.

Why did she decide to show up when Mr King left for a snack? He would have wanted to be here . I knew for a fact that Marie and Mr King didn't only have one child. In fact they have three adult and a child. I just wonder if Mrs King has an terminal illness stopping her from having children?

"Dolores." I feel Marie's hand tighten on mine as her hoarse voice calls my name.

"Marie. I've missed you. You were gone too long. " I said as I looked into her eyes when I saw them flutter open.

"Really, cara mia. It felt like only a day. " She said her lips curling into a smile.

It was good that Marie was now awake she can now finish what she was telling me before.

"Please get me a cup of water. " She said and I stood to the dispenser and got her a cup.

She drank it in a gulp.

"Now what have I missed?" She asks into the silence once she's done.

"Well nothing that I can remember, Marie. " I say looking at my fingers on my lap.

"What's wrong, Dolores?" She asks and I can hear the concern in her voice.

"Oh! A lot has happened since you left us." I said sobbing the whole time. I laid my head on the bed and just let out anguished sobs. For almost losing my baby. For almost losing the man I love. For almost losing Marie. And most of all for the blank space in my head that I still can't remember.

We stayed in comfortable silence. I thought I should let the Doctor know Marie is awake but with her massaging fingers into my scalp, gave me solace. I didn't want to move. I just stayed with my eyes opened. The tears have already dried on my cheeks.

Few moments later, the motion seized.

"Dolores. What's wrong?" She asked , her voice quiet.

Momentarily, I stayed in the position I was until I finally decided it was time for me to speak up.

"Marie." I paused, looking into her eyes. They weren't showing anything. Unreadable.

"A lot has happened since you left. " I said once again.

"You've said that before. " She says.

"I'm pregnant. " I say into the silence. I lean back so she can see the shape of the shape of my protruding stomach from the dress I was wearing.

Her face mirrors shock and then all of a sudden she lets out a set of incoherent words.

She smiles and reaches out for me.

"Oh Dolores. You don't know how happy I am for you. For Rafael. For me. Oh this is good news. This is probably the best news I'm receiving so far. " She gushes out all at once reaching for me and pulling me into a hug.

"That should be good news for you. You are going to be a grandmother", I soliloquise.

Even with my dry retort, I can't help but smile at her enthusiasm. I know she is hiding her secrets for her own reasons. I'm no one to judge her.

"I'm having triplets. " I can't help but grin as I say this to her.

Her face lights up with more joy than before.
