One month later....

Rafael walked to my side of the door and pulled it open for me. Such a gentleman.

My gentleman.

I smile up at him when our eyes meet.

These four weeks have probably been my best since I moved into the King Mansion. There was hardly any trouble and Mrs King has been so polite and nice. Always complimenting me and my work. Strange.

It's good that she has turned a new leaf.

Rafael held my hand as we walked into the hospital. We were finally picking up my mother. I couldn't wait for her to see the new house, she would love it.

Rafael had helped me find the perfect house and it was relatively cheap. He had insisted on buying it for us but I declined his offer. He has already done a lot for us.

I agreed to pay rent on monthly basis which is within my budget.

We rode the elevator to floor 2, we walked up to the receptionist and asked about my mother. She gave us the details, we asked for she continued eyeing Rafael up and down. Like he was food.

I wonder if he knows the aura he creates when he walks past women.

Don't be looking at my man, is what I want to shout at her.

A sudden surge of jealous fills me as I dragged Rafael away from her.

His lips curved into a smirk, saying he knew what I was doing.
"I only have eyes for you. " His hot breath filled my ear as he placed a soft swift kiss under my ear.

As we walked into the room, I see my mother dressed up in normal clothes, jeans and a top, for the first time in three months.

I feel my eyes water as I take in her appearance. Her pale skin is gone and now it's glowing. She looks really appealing. Her jeans snug her curves perfectly making her look very feminine.

At forty, my mom was still a hot chick.

I walk to her and wrap my hands around her, breathing in her unique scent.

"I can't believe all of this is finally over. " I say into her ear.

No more hospital bills!

She wraps her arms around me tightly

"Let's get the hell out of this place. Now's not the time to cry. I'm already sick of it. " Bria says loudly and I think she's acknowledging Rafael too.

"Good morning, Mrs--Bria." He says coolly into the atmosphere. I can tell there's a hint of amusement in his tone.

"Rafael, how lovely to see you again." She says grinning widely at him.

He smiles back at her.

"I see you're getting under my daughter's skin.Don't you dare hurt her, I may be smiling now but I won't be then. " She says the last sentence animatedly as she narrows her eyes at him, which makes his smile drop immediately.
