Madre had told me that my Nonno will be staying with an old friend of his and I shouldn't bother myself. I am excited that I will get to see my Nonno after such a long time. I can already imagine the look of happiness and relief on his face when I will tell him about mother's improving condition.

Right now I found myself cleaning one of the very elegant guest rooms in the King's Mansion.

I was awfully curious about who will be joining the King's for dinner tonight. I sighed as I finished cleaning up the en suite. My mind automatically wonders off to Rafael. He is always on my mind. Sometimes, I feel that I should just forget about him because what we are doing is dangerous and wrong but sometimes, I want nothing more than to be with him.

He started working in his dad's office today.

I recall how arrestingly handsome he looked this morning in his grey Armani suit. It hugged his biceps and outlined every taut muscle of his chest. He was looking edible. I would love to be in his arms right now but duty calls and his has a more suitable status. Surely he would not want to be seen with someone of the lower class in public.

I finished tidying up and left the room to attend to my other duties and thinking about Rafael's perfect body.

After taking a cold shower, I head to the kitchen to help Marie prepare brunch for Mrs. King as she would be having a brunch with her friend, Mrs. Valdez. The thought of it just makes my blood rush. I wonder what those two ladies have up their sleeves this time around. No doubt that they will plot and plan something so that Rafael agrees to marry Ariel.

"Piccola, why the long face?" Marie asked in her accented voice. She looked at me with so much concern just like my Madre.

"Nothing, my stomach is a little upset. Nothing to be worried about." I lied without looking her in the eyes. It makes me feel bad when I lie to her but I can't tell her the real reason.

Her eyes widen immediately. "Darling, I think you should go lay down for a while. You've been on your feet since morning. It may worsen your present condition."

"No, I'm fine. It's not so bad. You sound so much like my mother right now." I said too quickly, guilt creeping into my heart for making her concern over a lie.

She said nothing. She just gathered the food into two trays.

"Let me help you." I offered.

"Oh no! You are unwell."

"It's just a tray of food, Marie. I would be fine. Let me help you. Please."

"Okay. Thank you. Let me head to the market then. We're in need of some basil leaves and Italian seasoning. I will be back soon. Take care, darling." I carried the first tray of food that contains fat, plum pancakes and a cup of syrup.

"Good morning. Mrs. King, Mrs. Valdez." I said as I reached them.

They were sitting in the garden, deep in discussion. They were looking so serious like they were discussing business but I knew better.

Mrs. King sucked in her breath sharply as she heard my greeting.

"Please learn to announce yourself. You cannot just walk into someone's conversation." She said angrily.

"I did. I am so sorry." I answered back, apologetically.

"Why don't you children of nowadays learn some respect? You do not talk back!" Mrs. Valdez said as her voice goes an octave higher.

"I'm sorry, ma'am." She nodded, dismissively. I wonder what I did so wrong that these two women are ready to chop my head off.

"So what has Rafael said about Ariel? Is he ready to marry her?" Mrs. Valdez and Mrs. King continued their discussion.
