“Hello???” Matty said waving his hand in front of my face trying to get my attention. I had frozen and there wasn’t anything more suspicious than that, freezing right in your tracks when someone asks you a question. And I know guilt was written all over my face. Even though I didn’t really know what I had to feel guilty for but I felt like I was guilty as sin.
“I…there…mouse.” I couldn’t even come up with a good lie let alone form a sentence. God why do I have to be such a horrible liar?
“A mouse? What?” the read headed boy said giving me a look of confusion.
“I thought I heard a mouse so I called the dorm room advisor he came to check it out.” I said trying to act nonchalant.
“Did he get it?” Matty asked curious now. And curse my dirty thoughts because the first thing that popped in my head was how he got something and right now my body was telling me he could get that something anytime he wanted. But of course I couldn’t say that.
“Turns out it was just the room beside us, the bed squeaks every time the guy moves around on it” I said trying to stop my dirty thoughts before I started blushing from excitement or worse before something else got excited. Now you try explaining getting a hard on when you’re talking about mice. “You know what, I’m just going to go take a shower and try to make it to my next class. I’m feeling better.” I said grabbing my towel and walking out the door because those thoughts were not going away. I walked down the hall to the bathroom and turned on the cold water. I took my clothes off and hung them on the rack and got in the shower, it was freezing cold, just the way it needed to be because my “friendly visitor” wasn’t going to go away by itself. I rested my head against the shower wall and smiled as the water ran down my body. I started to think about Vic again and just as I was about to give a little hand assistance to my friendly visitor someone comes in the bathroom.
_______
I went to my Art History class and my teacher told us about a couple famous art people and looked at some of their work. After I went to the cafeteria for lunch and then headed to my last class for the day, Biology 101 It was an evening class. I didn’t really pay attention much, science really isn’t my subject. But also I couldn’t get Vic out my head once again. It’s like he’s always in my mind but this time I wasn’t contemplating my feelings I was trying to figure out his. I mean is he gay? And if he is do people know? Does he like me or is he just looking for a good time? All these thoughts were going through my head as I was staring out the window in a trance. I started seeing students walk pass my desk and realized that the class was now over. Time went by so fast I got in here at 5:30 and now it’s already 7:45. I got up and got my stuff together and walked towards the door, as I got to the door I saw Vic standing out there leaning against the wall smiling as he laid his eyes upon me.
“What are you doing here?” I asked I was shocked to see him but also happy.
“This is your last class for the day, right?” He asked not answering my question.
“Yeah.” I said.
“Good let’s go.” He said with a smile and started walking towards the exit. He always says to me lets go and I always went willingly and this time was no different. We left the building and started to walk off campus. It was a little weird cause we weren’t talking, it was just silent. There was a diner across the street from the campus and we went there. There was no one there except for the people that worked there and now us.
“You can sit anywhere you want.” A lady said to us. Vic walked to the back without saying anything and I followed. He picked the last booth all the way in the back. “So what would you like to order?” the lady asked.
