[A/N]: Hiiii! It's Elsie and Sophie here, and we've teamed together to write this fic! It's sort of out on a whim here, that we're writing it... so hopefully you guys don't find it to weird. If you do, you can judge us. It's okay. We're @LivingfortheWrite04 and @PartyWriting, so you can follow us here and then follow us on our real accounts too, if you'd like! But for now, let's get started.
Harry Styles had figured that a trip to stay with his uncle in Florida would be fun. But as he sat in a cab, after already riding four hours on a plane with his two best mates Zayn and Liam, he was already beginning to doubt his sanity.
"Where are we going again?" Zayn, the raven-haired boy asked, throwing his legs over Liam's lap and accidentally kicking Harry in the squished back seat.
"For Gods sake, Zayn, it's called Floridana Beach," Harry huffed, running a hand through his coco brown curls. "I swear, if you didn't have Liam to look out for you, you'd be on the missing persons list and probably stumbling around the wilderness. Do you even remember my uncle's name?"
Liam patted Zayn's knee in comfort. The two had been a couple for nearly four months, after much urging from Harry, only Harry was slowly beginning to feel sickened by their constant affection towards one another. Then again, maybe he was just a tad jealous. Zayn, however, was quick to defend himself, "Hey, fuck you Styles! Of course I know your uncle's name, I love Paul. And it's not that I'm not good with directions, I just don't give a damn. So you can suck it."
"That's Liam's job," Harry shot back.
Liam blushed, but Zayn in turn laughed, stroked the top of Liam's head where his brown hair was longest, unlike the short sides, and replied, "You win this round, Harry."
The curly haired lad grinned triumphantly and settled back into his corner of the cab, gazing out the window for signs that they'd be approaching his uncle's soon. However, he must have dozed off, because suddenly someone was prodding at him, "Harry. C'mon, we're here."
Harry rocketed up, finding that he'd slumped over onto Liam's lap, "Oh... thanks mate, sorry I conked out on you, there."
The three lads climbed from the cab, looking around. From where they stood they could already see the beach, waves crashing onto white sand spotted with colorful umbrellas. Suddenly, they were being rushed at by a large man yelling, "Boys!"
"Uncle Paul!" Harry grinned largely as the man pulled them all into a bone-crushing group hug, turning and digging into his wallet to pay the cabbie. "Oh, hey, you don't have to-"
"It's on me, my boy," Paul laughed, ruffling each of the boys' hair one by one. "Let's get your bags from the boot."
The lads retrieved their belongings, and Paul led them along the sand covered stone path towards a two-story building that had a large sign on the front reading 'Paul's Bait'. Instead of using the entrance, he led them through sand filled grass, and the three carrying luggage had to drag their things up a steep incline. When they finally reached a small porch that was a single step up, leading to the back door, Paul opened it with a large grin, "Sorry for the detour. This is my house up here. The shop is down below."
"Oh," Zayn nodded. "You live here. Makes sense, there's an awesome beach view."
"That beach is always a tad crowded, though," Paul shut the door behind them as they all entered, peering around at the decor. There were wood floors, light blue walls, and numerous pictures of all sorts of fish. "However, if you walk north along the beach, honestly less than a mile, you'll come across a sandy strip right before a bunch of rocks where no one ever goes. It's safe to swim, if you're daring to swim secluded. Not many waves, and it drops off up against the rocks. There's generally more sealife where there's less people. Just watch out for sharks."
