[E/N2]: Nooooo not abandoned! Just kind of... WE'RE GOING TO WRITE IT NOW WE'LL FINISH IT IN NO TIME OKAY BC IT'S SUMMER FOR US NOW. Well for Sophie anyway. I still have till Tuesday while she's at home partying it up with her other out of school friends. ALSO IT HAS BEEN OVER TWO MONTHS AND I SWEAR TO YOU IT WILL NEVER TAKE THAT LONG AGAIN. WE USUALLY TAKE TURNS WRITING EACH CHAPTER AND IF SOPHIE IS TO BUSY I WILL WRITE IT OKAY!? OKAY.
[S/N2] Which means that Sophie sucks at updates and Elsie will write the chapter. Yaaaay. :D
"What do you mean when you say shit?" Harry asked anxiously.
"I mean that Zayn's right. He's sending the entire ocean at us. Me, specifically."
"He can do that?" Niall squeaked.
"He controls the entire ocean, Ni. He can send it wherever he wants to," Louis said, lifting his arms towards Harry. "Even if that means like the deepest depths up here, enough water to cover this entire house."
Harry silently grabbed Louis under his arms and carefully dragged him away from the door as Liam and Zayn peeked back out the window anxiously. Harry leaned down with the towel that had once been wrapped around Louis' waist, drying his hand and the bit of moisture on his tail to quicken the process of getting Louis' legs back.
"Well it won't get to you," Harry whispered in determination. "We'll get you away from it."
"I don't think I can do that, Harry," Louis shook his head as he gazed sincerely at the younger boy. Harry refused to meet his gaze, shaking his head.
"We can, it'll be-"
"He'll flood the entire earth if that's what it takes to get me back in the ocean," he said softly. "If you haven't noticed, he isn't exactly fond of you humans. But I am. And I won't let that happen to you all."
"So," Paul spoke up. "If you go back, he stops?"
"I would hope?" Louis nodded.
"But what if he doesn't?" Niall asked. "What if we go back and the storms continue? You know your dad doesn't give a damn about any life up here, Lou."
"Yeah, well I do. And I'm fairly determined to keep them safe," Louis said firmly, looking to the curly haired boy lovingly. Harry had draped a blanket over Louis as his tail finally transformed into legs. Zayn kindly handed the merprince his pants.
"Only fairly?" Niall lifted an eyebrow.
"Niall," Louis huffed. "I refuse to let my father hurt them."
Paul gave Louis a small smile, "And thank you for that, but what about you lad?"
"My father won't hurt me," Louis sighed. "He'll just make my life miserable... refuse to let me even go near the surface."
"Well that can't happen," Harry said suddenly, crossing his arms firmly over his chest. "If you leave, I'm coming with you."
"I think you're forgetting some minor details here, Harry," Liam pointed out. "You know... like that fact that you don't breath underwater. Or the fact that you can't even swim."
Harry simply glared at his friend, but then Louis reached out to cup Harry's jaw, "Love... they're right, though. The kingdom is a good five hundred... well, our term is metres but I don't know what you all call them."
"Five hundred metres? That's like..."
"It's not too deep," Niall assured. "We don't have any of the stranger creatures... like trench demons. Light still filters through."
