E/N]: HELLO ONCE AGAIN AUDIENCE. When we left off, Harry and Louis jumped off a building. Which is like my fav thing to do. Sophie is working and is laptopless and I'm just a lazy son of a bitch who does have a laptop (although I might get a job soon as a housekeeper at a nursing home hoorah). ANYWHO LET'S DO THIS THING. P.S: I'm writing this with a baby puppy on my lap. THERE'S ABOUT FOUR MORE CHAPTERS AFTER THIS, MAYBE THREE, SO STICK WITH US OKAY.

[S/N] Jobs are the worst. But puppies are fun. Especially Elsie's. Are such cute. ON WITH THE CHAPTAH. :D

The moment they hit the water, Louis was clinging to Harry so tightly it was nearly painful. He hadn't bothered to strip, and the pants he'd been wearing were simply torn by his tail. He couldn't dawdle beneath the crashing waves, however, so he was wrenching Harry to the foamy surface. His human took a huge gasping breath, and Louis was just glad the water wasn't cold.

"Are you okay?" he yelled over the waves, and then was horrified when thunder boomed overhead. Their once clear skies were stormy again.

"Are you?" Harry coughed out, clinging to Louis with one hand and scrubbing saltwater from his eyes with the other.

Louis had to fight hard against the waves, letting them slam into his back rather than his human's face, "As long as you are, yes."

The waves were awful, and Louis couldn't even imagine what the first would have been like to any humans in its path. The thrashing water was even difficult for Louis, and he was made for it. Rain began pouring down, not that it mattered since they were both wet anyway, but it made Louis want to tuck Harry's head beneath his chin so he could shield him from everything happening around them.

"We need to go find Paul and the lads," Harry yelled hoarsely. "In town somewhere?"

"We'll try," Louis agreed. "But we can't risk being separated. If we get into a really populated area we could get rammed into buildings by the waves and like... what if you were knocked from my grip?"

Harry attempted to shake the dampness from his hair, but with the rain it was pointless, "I'd... find something to hold onto until you could come get me?"

Louis didn't reply, he just simply tightened his grip on Harry and swam backwards a bit so they wouldn't be at risk of being slammed against the old cement bait shop by the waves. Ever so carefully, he attempted to use the currents to carry them around any danger. The water was already deeper than the third story window of the old bait shop, and the currents were absolutely mad. Louis couldn't make any sense of them.

It was then that a boat suddenly surfaced from beneath the water. Yet, it wasn't at all helpful to them, as it was upside down and the water was flinging it straight for them. Louis' eyes widened, and he only had a moment to yelp in a panicked voice, "Hold your breath!"

He wrapped his arms tightly around Harry and plunged them back beneath the surface, wiggling back so that they were pressed to the building. Harry's fingers were clinging to the t-shirt that Louis still wore, his eyes clenched shut tightly. Saltwater didn't hurt Louis' eyes, however, and he peered through the stirred up ocean water to make out the large object, different from the boat above the water, he felt coming.

The moment the object began appearing from the murky water, Louis' eyes widened and rage coursed through him. One of his father's royal guards. It was a merman, rather than just a swordfish guard, and he had a sword in his hand that he stuck into the sand as he gazed at Louis. Louis didn't want to hear whatever message the merman had, didn't want the merman anywhere near his human. The merman's eyes fell on Harry as well, and he gasped in surprise.

Louis needed to resurface immediately. Harry could only hold his breath for so long, most likely hadn't even had the opportunity to take in much air before Louis had dove them under the water. That, and the guard was reaching for his sword. The merprince loosened the grip he had on Harry's shirt with a single hand so he could give the guard the finger, and then he was rocketing back up to the surface, boat or no boat.
