Chapter 11: Rebel Love Song

I turned and saw everyone I hoped it not to be, CC and Ashley. Dammit I'm so screwed. I inhaled deeply and approached them as they walked towards me.

"I thought you were CC," Ashley already started accusing me.

"Yeah," CC agreed, "I thought you loved me?"

"Guys, shut up and listen," I commanded, "CC, look, I'm sorry but Jinxx looked upset in there and I asked what happened. It turns out Sandra left him in hopes she'd get you. I had always liked Jinxx from the start but because of Sandra I backed off. Then I found out you liked me and I ended up developing feelings for you and you have no idea how hard this is because I don't want to hurt anyone. I'm sorry CC. It's over, and Ashley, I hope you understand too and are okay with Jinxx and I."

Ashley nodded in agreement as CC spoke, "Well we don't always get what we want. I'm not dating Sandra. I don't love her. I love you and only you, but I see your heart belongs to Jinxx. Plus, you should've known this would hurt someone, and it's me."

He turned sharply and before I knew it he was gone. I sighed and hung my head as I walked to Ashley for comfort. He wrapped me in his famous hugs and I buried my face in his neck.

"Sh," Ashley cooed trying to calm me down, "It's okay. He'll get over it soon and be with Sandra then you two will be okay. I promise."

I just nodded, not trusting my voice. Ashley soon passed me off to Jinxx and helped me get in his car. He drove me to my place in silence. He escorted me out of the car and to my door.

As I dug for my keys he spoke, "Want me to stay with you tonight? I mean, you still seem a little shaken up after tonight's events."

I looked up at him and smiled then nodded letting him in. I was greeted by my two Boston Terriers, Boss and Lilly. I laughed a little as they jumped and barked, excited I was home. They began investigating Jinxx but left as soon as I set their food down.

Jinxx walked into the kitchen where I was and asked, "You have dogs?"

I nodded, "Yeah. I also have two sugar gliders, a rabbit, bird, hamster and fish. It's kinda a zoo here, sorry for not warning you."

He smiled and said, "It's okay. I love animals. Care to show me around and 'introduce' me to your pets?"

I smiled and nodded. I began showing him around explaining what's what.

I pointed to a bird cage containing the sugar gliders, "The fat one is Gizmo and the smaller one is Roxy."

We then moved on to the bird, "This is Holly and she's a Green Cheek Conure."

Then came the rabbit, "That's Spot. Ashley gave him to me last Easter."

Lastly I showed him my hamster, "That's Tommy. I don't believe the fish need any 'introduction'? I mean, I don't name them."

We both laughed as I showed him the rest of my house. As happy a I seemed, my mind kept drifting back to CC. I hope he was okay. I just want everything to be 'normal' again.
