Will
I was worried about Nico while he was sleeping. Despite his high fever and fatigue, he looked gorgeous with his smooth, soft face that looked slightly angelic in his sleep-a much different vibe than he portrayed. The more I knew about Nico, the more I liked him.
Suddenly, Nico started thrashing around in his sleep and muttering words like "Bianca", "Percy", and "Octavian." I tensed at the name of Octavian. He was one of my many cousins and had never been one of my favorites. He liked to take other people's teddy bears and stuffed animals and mutilate them before making morose prophecies. Needless to say, Octavian wasn't my most favorite person. He died after an accident with some local kids.
Nico's thrashing grew more intense and the screams pierced my ears and heart. I shook him rapidly. "Wake up, Nico!" I begged.
Nico screamed louder and his coffee-brown eyes suddenly flew open. "W-will," he said hoarsely. "You look so much like Octavian."
Now, that was a comparison that I didn't like. Nico must of seen the expression of my face because he burst out," You're much better looking than him, but you have the same-"
He broke off and his face turned a deep scarlett. I knew what he was going to say: you have the same blonde hair and blue eyes. Otherwise, we have absolutely nothing in common. I gave him a weary smile and continued caring for him.

Dakota
I was so glad that Connor managed to sneak in some Kool-Aid for me. I mixed it with my water and started drinking it quickly. I finished the cup in one gulp. I filled my cup up again and mixed in some more Kool-Aid powder in.
The drink turned a light pink. I dumped in some more powder and stirred the liquid with my silver spoon. The drink became a deep, crimson red like a dark cherry. I downed the liquid quickly. The sugar made all my brain circuits explode. I felt so hungry. The cravings for more sugar roared like a monster in my stomach. Unfortunately, I was out of Kool-Aid powder.
I went up to the buffet line and stacked my plate high with waffles, pancakes, pastries, and muffins. I filled my cup up with coffee and stirred in some cream and sugar. I blanketed my plate with powdered sugar and drowned my food in sickly, sweet syrup.
I sat down by myself and started pigging out. I ate so fast that I could barely process how much I was eating or what I was tasting. By the time I had wolfed down my plate, I was feeling stuffed and bloated. I felt sick.my stomach churned so fast. I tried to calm my stomach with my cup of coffee, by it swirled even more.
Suddenly, I threw up my entire breakfast all over the table. I couldn't stop it. I had eaten so much and I felt so sick. I ate like this too much-usually several times a week. I usually didn't overeat this much, but I was homesick for my mother.
Grover came over and started cleaning up the mess. Dr. Chiron came over to me and motioned for me to follow him. He stopped in his office. "Sit down," he said. He gave a sigh and faced me directly and honestly. "Dakota, you eating is getting too destructive. I've seen you bingeing a lot and it's not healthy. You ate so much that you threw up. I'm not going to ask who snuck in the Kool-Aid, but I'm worried about you,"
   "I was hungry!" I protested.
Dr. Chiron looked at me sadly. "You're right Dakota," he sighed. "You're hungry for a better life. The problem is, you're addicted to sugar and the meals we've been providing aren't good enough. We need to give you more than just healthy options. We're going to replace all the unhealthy foods with healthy alternatives starting tomorrow."
My pity dropped to Australia and Dr. Chiron raised his hand to silence my protests. "We wouldn't let an alcoholic be around alcohol is a rehab and we won't let you be around your addictions," he calmly said. "It won't be easy, but we're here to help. I just hope you always remember that, Dakota."
