Chapter 4 - Part 3: Get Hough

Maks' POV:

    It's been weeks since I saw a Titans, I've been looking. I have been sitting here in what we call the office 'Room Dark' no windows just candles that burn bright on the long table. I called Witney, Riker and Nastia in for some help. "Witney." I called out to her "Yes Maks?" She asked. "I need to see your tracking device." She pulled it out of her pocket and placed it on the table, everyone leaned in to see what was on the screen "Nothing." Riker said disappointed "I don't...understand" Nastia looked at the papers surrounding me on the table "Where are they?" She then asked me and Witney "The Walls..." Witney walked near Riker sitting down "Walls?" He sounded very confused. Have we left humanity that long we have forgotten where we came from?

"Sit down everyone story time" Witney said with a smile on her face as Nastia sat next to Riker. I looked at Witney getting ready to hear an earful. "The Walls are large structure that surround the territory where the remnants of humanity live, and protect them from the Titans that rule the outside world"

"That's where we are..." I added.

"Yes Maks" She continued. "They were built more than a century ago, when humanity was brought to the edge of extinction at the hand of the aforementioned Titans."

"Woah...What do they look like?" Riker asked interested

"The Walls are about 50 meters in hight and four or five times a human's height below the ground, and some people say is rumored to be as strong as bedrock. BUT...Titans like Arin's Titan form and a Beast Titan are able to break them"

"So we are saving the people who live inside The Walls! It's a mini town inside these huge walls!" Riker explained what Witney just said. "Glad your with the program..." I said to him.

"Our best bet is to go to The Walls, none of them are appearing here so thats where we will go and we are bringing everyone" That was my final say on tomorrow's mission.

Val's POV:

    "DEREK IS AWAKE!! DEREK IS AWAKE!!!" I heard screaming from the halls, I was reading a book in the sleeping hall. But I had to see whats going on "DEREK IS AWAKE!!!!" I peaked my head out the door so did everyone out of Room Dark and the eating hall. I decided to step out the door and leaned against the wall looking at Alli jumping around spreading the news I grabbed her arm as she ran past me and pulled her to me "You for real?" I smiled asking her "YES! Come with me!" She pulled me away from the cheering crowd and brought me into the injured room. Mark,  Noah, Janel, Bethany and Alfonso are already here. Nastia and Witney came in together to see our brave man.

"Hey guys" Derek said sounding weak, his eyes barely open but he spoke happily  "I missed you" He said. I can hear the ladies getting emotional. "Hey Mark?" Derek looked at him not turning his head. "Yeah buddy?" He asked holding his hand "Why can't I move?"

I looked at Mark and he looked back at me "Um...well your body is in a state of shock...your not gonna be able to move for awhile but your a strong man and your body has been through a lot I'm sure you can push through it" He said reassuring.

"I hope so" Derek smiled "Bethany, Nastia." Derek closed his eyes "I want you to be the best Titan slayers...Can you do that for me?" Derek asked.

"Yes Derek, we can" Bethany said crying. "Guys I think we should let Derek rest" Alfonso spoke quietly as Artem greeted us outside the door "What's going on?" Artem had a look of worry on his face, I looked back at Mark quietly closing the door behind us then I answered his question "Derek is awake but his body is in shock. He can't move it" Artem looked down in sadness. I put my hand on his shoulder "He will be fine, let's pray." Artem looked at me "I will" He left and when back from where he came.

I'm glad Derek is awake but I'm not sure when he can move again, he can't kill Titans as soon as he can stand either, I'm sure with enough time and slowly progressing in training he'll be fine.
