Chapter Two -Part 3: You Have to Let Go

Bethany's POV:

I'm freaking out!! I just seen Karina got eaten alive by a Titan! As I past a huge tree I saw Artem sitting there, not moving an inch "Poor Karina..." I heard Derek say quietly. "Do- Do you think she was...um..." I can't speak I'm too scared "I'm sorry Derek I-" he cut me off "It's ok, I understand" he looked at me and smiled. "TITAN AHEAD" I heard Val scream, "I got it!" Sadie said as she passed up all of us. "Be careful!" I head mark shout behind me. I seen Sadie make a clean slice to the Titans nape and the Titan went down and turned into smoke. Sadie slowed down to be next to mark, our 3DM gear are starting to slow down which means we are about to hit ground. As we touched down our horses were waiting for us but we didn't get on them yet.

"Word has been said that the colossal Titan crushed Inaba Hall!" said Commander Janel running towards us. She stopped in front of Val. "aww but I just paid it off" slight saddens in Val's voice "Well what do we do now?, Sleep on branches?" Maks said "No brother...I know a place, is not far from here we can go to the Andrews Hall" Artem jumped off the branch and landed next to me. I could tell that he has been crying. "Well what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Meryl said enthusiastically.

As we ride to the Andrews Hall Derek told me something. "Do you think Artem will be alright?" he whispered to me. "I think so" I replied. I looked at him ride in front of me but I still can't believe Karina died...she gave up her life for a good cause and she will be missed.
