You had a sliver of a chance,
A chance which you took for granted.
You fuelled my hope like there was no tomorrow.
Yet here we are today,
Me empty, sad and regretful,
You happy, shameless and self-conceited.

BEST FRIEND
I thought the word best friend meant more to you than being just a word,
That we would stick together through thick or thin.
But your letting go, slipping through my hands like sand.
You were there for me through hard times, but why won't you let me do the same?

THE WORDS
The words you write through your skin
With a blade as sharp as pain itself,
Brings a blow to my chest as you do this over and over again, you won't let me in, or help with the pain you feel and it makes me wonder if you don't want help through your troubles times?
But before I get a say, you take your life away, as it was just another flower in a meadow.
