The pain I feel consumes me,
Attacks my body and brings a ache to my head.
It swallows you full and crushes you inside,
It dulls your sight and won't let you fight,
Until you are no more than a shadow of who you really are.
GIVE ME A REASON
Give me a reason to stay,
Just one,
But the only thing you do is show no emotion,
As it goes in slow motion when my hand reaches your face,
You swallowed me up and let me in,
Only to be let go and spit out as if I was a bad taste in your mouth.
You said your lies,
But now it's time for me to say goodbye.
BACK AND FORWARDS
You locked me up and broke me inside,
You never listened when I would scream and cry at night,
You broke my bones,
And turned your face to stone.
You enjoyed my pain and had no shame,
For being the same.
As I sit down and cry,
I realise this will be the last time,
I see your face,
As the rope swings back and forwards.
