What I once saw

I love you as you were my one and only.
But as I walk through your bedroom door,
I can't take away what I just saw,
A lifeless body looking back at me,
Your pale complexion and pained expression brings me no desire.
The brown rope and missing chair,
Brings me to my knees as I can't take back what I just saw.

NO MORE
The rope swung slowly back and forward, the chair broken and fallen,
I can see no more as my gaze blurs over, my body goes numb, my knees weak as I realise you are no more.

NO GOING BACK
The blood trickled down my wrist and dropped down to the floor,
My body went numb,
My eyesight going black,
As I swayed left and right I realised there was no going back.

THE KNIFE
The knife laid on the table haunting me to touch it,
But the rusted old metal felt heavy in the palms of my hand,
I have to many scars to count would it matter if there was one more?
I heard the knife drop as my head bumped on the floor.
