The Apocalypse (DISCONTINUED)

Chapter 3

Leo

Okay, so click that, enlarge this screen, blah, blah and wham! You're in the surveilance system. Now time to see what Bridget and Adrian are talking about or doing. Oh, turning on the audio might be nice, wouldn't it? Don't answer that. 

"Now that one awkward situation has been avoided, why don't we continue where we left off?" I can't believe she just suggested that. No don't freak Leo, she just wants to thank him again. It's not like they're gonna kiss...again. 

Bridget

I asked Adrian if we continue where we left off. He looked at me and smiled.

"Gladly." He pulled me close. I snuggled up to him and breathed him in. He smelled good, despite the raging apocalypse outside.

"Tell me how you feel." He whispered gently into my ear.

"This feels right to me." 

"Me too."

"But,"

"But what?" He pulled away slightly looking down at me, frowning.

"I don't know to react to something like this. I've never  felt anything like this before, except I think once. And I didn't know how to deal with the feelings then. It really screwed up my head and nearly pushed me over the edge." I told him. I don't know why but I felt really emotional. 

"How did you come back?" He asked.

"I haven't yet. I'm slowly climbing back over." I whispered, my voice breaking. When I said that his eyes got misty. "The guy knew I liked him. We openly talked about it. But he didn't know how much I liked him and how much I felt. And when he told me who he liked, I nearly fell apart. She was my friend and she was trying to set me up with him and I was trying to set him set up with her. It was tearing me apart. I had to betray him to save myself. She promised me she'd never tell another soul. Anyway, he still doesn't know the whole story and he's still alive." It all rushed out so suddenly. I had been wanting to tell someone and I just did.

Oh shit. 

Adrian

Oh shit.

Bridget

What the hell did I just do? I told him, Adrian, someone I've only known for like a week one of my darkest secrets. Not even Leo knew that. Wait a minute. My room has a security camera. What if he watched the whole thing? Would he know that I was talking about him? Wait forget I said that. Scratch that. Bad for health. 

Adrian

I honestly don't  know how to respond to that. She just poured her heart out to me. But it was about someone else. Stay focused dude. You were sent here for a reason. You're supposed to get closer to her and find out everything about her  but not fall for her. So why am I? That's not my job. Not what I was sent here for.
