Bridget
Something orange and warm hit my face. What was it? I opened my eyes and realized it was sunlight, but where I am was unfamiliar to me. Where am I? The last thing I remember was my short time on the roof with Leo. He held my hand, put his arm around me, I rested my head on his shoulder, and that's all I remember. I must've fallen asleep. Did he carry me inside? I sit up and look around. I see a note written on the bedside table.
Bridget,
You fell asleep last night on my shoulder. So I carried you inside to my room. I hope you had a nice sleep :). Anyway, I enjoyed our talk last night, especially the part where you fell asleep on my shoulder. Whenever you wake up, meet us outside in the practice room to talk about who's getting the amunition.
-Leo
Luckily I know his handwriting, because his writing was chicken-scratch. I decide that it's time to go and meet the others. I head outside and make my way to the practice room. When I walk in everyone stares at me. "I'm awake." I say simply.
"We can see that." Isabel says.
"Sleep well?" Adrian asks me. I nod and look at Leo.
He smirks and says "Oh I know she did. She slept in my room. After she fell asleep on my shoulder." I blush so hard that he laughs out loud.
"Say what now?" Jonny asks, eyes wide.
"Uh um yea. We were talking on the roof last night and I just fell asleep." I stammered.
"Sure. You looked pretty comfortable to me. I had my arm around you because you were cold and then you snuggled up to me." Leo said matter-of-factly. He was enjoying making me look bad in front of Adrian. Adrian looked away, hurt. Oh please don't give me that look Adrian. Please don't.
"Okay, enough talking about last night. Leo was just being nice. What about the ammo?" I asked a little annoyed.
"We were talking and we were thinking this should be an all guy trip." Jonny said. I gave them all a look that said Are you serious?
"Yea." Olivia said.
"Why?" I aksed, kind of upset that they made this decision without me.
"Because you girls have been doing a lot lately and we feel that you deserve a break." Leo told me.
"Okay. Fine. But promise me something." They all looked at me.
"What?" Adrian asked.
"Come back. Alive."
"We promise." They said in unison. The rest of the meeting was us discussing when they were leaving and what time. We decided Adrian, Jonny, and Leo would go tomorrow morning at 6 am,. That meant, and they told me, I can't keep them up tonight. I just scowled and let them continue When we were done talking, everyone went to do something to prepare fro the boys' trip. I was responsible for getting there packs together.
I packed them water, a few granola bars, an extra weapon, what little ammo we had to spare, and walkie-talkies in case they needed backup. When I was finished I delivered them to each of them.
"Here." I said to Jonny handing it to him. He nodded and I went to go and give Leo and Adrian their's.
"Hey I have your pack." I told Leo when I saw him.
"Oh cool, thanks."
"No problem. But hey I need you to come back alive."
"Of course. I couldn't leave you."
"No I need you to come back. I can't live without you."
"I promise I will." He told me, pulling me into a fierce hug. "I promise."
"Good." I pulled away, although I didn't want to. "I'm sorry. I have to go give Adrian his." He nodded and let me go.
"Adrian?" I asked when I got to his room.
"Yea?" He replied turning around after pulling a black t-shirt on. I had seen his muscles flex in process. Wow.
"I have your pack." I said quietly. He walked over and took it, smiling while doing so.
"Thanks."
"Anytime. Hey if it's possible come back to me."
"I will. Why you goning to miss me if I don't?" He asked mischieviously.
"Actually yes." I told him bluntly. He smiled again.
"I'm happy to hear that." I blushed slightly.
"Oh is this you blushing?" He asked. I blushed even more. "Apparently it is." He said answering his own question.
"Whatever." I told him. I laughed slightly and walked out of the room.
Leo
I was going through my pack to see what she gave me. Water, food, walkie-talkie, and extra ammunition, and another weapon. The usual. I was truely touched when she told me she needed me to come back and she couldn't live without me. I hugged her tightly to reassure her that I will and I feel the same way. But I don't hink she got that last part. Which is good I guess, because I gave up my chance with her a long time ago. And besides she likes Adrian. I can tell. I'm not happy about it, but I can tell. I look at my watch. It was already 9:00. Time for bed I guess. I didn't realize how long that meeting was and how long it took to pack everything. Or my sweet somewhat goodbye with Bridget. I pull back the sheets of my bed and climb in. I rest my head on the pillow and drift into a restless sleep.
Bridget
I yawn and decide it's time for bed. I had been going through files for a few hours and nearly fell asleep on all of my research a few times. I put it into a somewhat neater pile and turn off the desk lamp. I walk over to my bed in the dark. I sit on the edge and take my boots off. I then pull my hoodie over my head revealing a tight black shirt. I take that off too and replace it with a loose gray one. I trade my jeans for sweats and decide I am now ready for bed. I normally wouldn't completely change out of my clothes when I sleep, but since I didn't have to go out and do any raids, I decided I can be comfortable for one night. I slip under the covers and drift off to dreamland, thinking of the two people that make me happy all the time.
