Bridget

"What the hell is wrong with me?" I asked Leo suddenly.

"What?" He asked, laughing.

"What the hell is wrong with me?" I repeated.

"There's nothing wrong with you, Brit." He answered, smiling. We were sitting on the roof and his arm was around me and we were enjoying the view for the last time.

"That's not what I mean. What I mean is why am I even giving Adrian a second glance? He tried to fucking kill me tonight. Or why do I not hate Max? There's got to be something wrong with me." I explain.

Leo moves to look directly at me before answering. "Bridget, there is nothing wrong with you. You just happened to trust the wrong people." He then leaned closer and whispered, "You are absolutely perfect."

I smiled at him and closed the distance that was separating our lips. He instantly responded and pulled me closer to him to where I was practically on his lap, not straddling, just sitting. I tangled my fingers in his chocolate brown hair as he slipped his hand under my shirt and rubbed small circles on my waist. Then he parted my lips with his tongue and we started full on making out. I nibbled his bottom lip and heard a moan at the back of his throat. Several minutes later we finally broke apart, both of us breathing heavily.

"There's only one thing I regret about all this." I said out of the blue.

"What's that?" He asked me curiously.

"I let Adrian have my first kiss." I told him. His face hardened and he leaned back and away from me. "Leo?" I said, feeling a little hurt.

"He was your first kiss?" He asked.

"Unfortunately." I mumbled. "But I made the right choice and I chose you, Leo. Remember that. I chose you."

He sighed and his expression softened. "I know. I'm sorry." He said.

I grabbed his hand. "I know and I'm sorry too."

"Are we okay?" He asked hesitantly, almost as if I changed my mind about him.

"We'll always be okay." I answered with a smile.

"Good." He answers.

"I'm sorry to ruin this little moment between you two, but Adrian's boss called. He's on his way." A voice said from the doorway, making me jump. We both turn to see Olivia standing there.

I get up and Leo follows suit and Olivia leads us downstairs. Leo stays close to me the entire time, his arm over my shoulders protectively. When we saw Adrian, I immediately tensed up. To think I ever trusted him. I should've listened to Leo that first day. All of this could've been avoided.

"I won't let him hurt you again." He whispered.

"Promise?" I asked, hating how vulnerable I sounded.

"I promise." He said and I smiled at him.

"Bridget-" Adrian starts but Leo cuts him off.

"No. You don't have anything to say to her." He said harshly.

"Leo. It's okay, I can handle it." I reassure him.

He frowned, but didn't say anything else on the subject. I then turned to look at Adrian and gave him a pointed look, signaling for him to continue.

He took a deep breath before speaking. "Bridget, I know I don't deserve your forgiveness and even you letting me talk to you is a blessing in itself, but I want you to know a lot of what that fight with me and Max was about me not wanting to go through with it. I told her I couldn't, no wouldn't go through with it, but-"
