Max
The next few seconds went by so fast, no one had time to really process it. Leo and Olivia lunged for Axel and Gage and Jonny and X went to go help Bridget. I wanted to help, but I didn't know what to do, which was a first. In no time at all, the twin tanks were held in head locks and Bridget was hissing and crying in pain while the guys tried to maneuver her out of the wreckage.
Olivia and Leo had a silent conversation and then threw Axel and Gage out of the room and locked it behind them. I couldn't take it anymore and ran over to, dare I say it, friend. "Brit?"
"Max, clear the examination table." X said immediately. I did as I was told and shoved everything on it to the ground. The other four were in the process of carefully turning Bridget onto her stomach and then gently lifting her up and over to the table.
"Ok, Leo don't freak out." X said and I furrowed my eyebrows until I realized what he was doing. He had gone into doctor mode and was pulling Bridget's shirt up to reveal her back. I grimaced at the sight. There was blood everywhere and shards of glass were stuck in the cuts and gashes. She was physically trembling from the pain and her jaw was clenched so tightly I thought she was going to break her teeth. Silent tears were leaking out of her eyes.
"Alright. Uh, Max, Dylan, and Adrian, I need you to go report Axel and Gage to Maggie. She'll take care of them." X ordered and we nodded and left.
Leo
"Who's Maggie?" Jonny asked.
"Head of Security. She'll deal with those two and make sure they pay for it. We never hurt one of our own, no matter how much we don't like them." He explained. "Now, Leo, get me a towel; something that she could bite on."
I went and grabbed a small dish rag from the counter and handed it to him. "Bridget? I know it hurts, but I need you to bite down on this and, well, try not to squirm too much. Sorry in advance."
"What'd you mean 'don't squirm to much.'? What are you going to do?" I asked immediately. He didn't answer. Instead he walked over to a counter and pulled out a bottle, another rag, some tweezers, cotton balls, and two bowls. He filled one with water.
"What is that?" Olivia asked. Again he didn't answer; he opened the bottle and poured some of the liquid onto the rag and dipped a couple cotton balls in the water.
"What are you gonna do?" Jonny asked nervously. We were all anxious about what he was up to. He didn't answer yet again and I had enough.
"Can you tell us what the fuck you're doing?" I hissed.
"Just grab her hand and don't try to kill me." He clipped and then started clearing away some of the blood with the wet cotton. After some of it was wiped away, he took the tweezers and picked out some of the shards. What he did next was what he was referring to in the first place. We all figured out what was in the bottle and I can tell you from personal experience about how much that shit burns.
He took the alcohol-wet rag and dabbed her wounds. Bridget's screams were muffled into the rag in her mouth and she was squeezing the life out of my hand. The tears ran freely down her face; she wasn't even trying to stop them anymore. She was shaking more than ever as X continued cleaning up the glass in her back. My face was hard and Jonny and Olivia had similar expressions; this was painful for all of us, seeing her like that.
It must've been an hour or so before X finished cleaning her up. The only sounds in the room were Bridget's cries and muffle screams. I had lost feeling in my hand in the first ten minutes, but I never let go. X had to change rags twice and went through countless cotton balls. The blood was pretty much cleaned from her back and the cuts and gashes were free of glass. After that nightmare was over, he started to bandage her up. Some of them required stitches, which was a whole different nightmare. The flesh still sensitive from the disinfectant, caused Bridget to scream even more when the needle pierced through it to sew it up.
