Bridget

Wow, what a night. I snuck out to see Adrian and he got to know the real me. He made my heart flutter when he kissed me. And this is a little embarrassing but that was my first kiss. I let my mind wonder about him. Has he ever kissed anyone else? I mean before the apocalypse.

I was making my usual rounds when I ran into Leo. Or more like he ran into me. Seriously he was sprinting. Why? Well, I'm about to find out.

"OUCH!"

"Sorry, didn't see you there." So not true. I was out in the open, in a hallway. A well-lit hallway.

"Why were you running?"

"No reason. Just thought I 'd get a little exercise." He's a terrible liar.

"LIES!" I yelled at him, my eyes going wide as I said it. He rolled his eyes and continued walking away from me, obviously ignoring me for some reason.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I call after him.

"Nothing's wrong."

"I can tell when you're upset. Now tell me."

"No." He says. I was honestly hurt, but didn't show it.

"Okay, then." I let the issue go, knowing he'd tell me later. He always does.

I continued my rounds and went back up to my room, gently shutting the door behind me. When I turn around, I nearly jumped out of my skin. Adrian was sitting on my bed smiling at me.

"What-How-When??" I stammered.

"What? Surprised to see me?" He smirks.

"What are you doing in here?" I finally managed to say.

"Waiting for you. You know you sure take your time." He comments.

"I figured I had nothing else to do and I didn't see you..." I said a little too quickly. I have a tendency to talk really fast and I only get faster when I'm nervous. God, why did he make me nervous?

"You were looking for me huh?" He asked with a cocky smile on his face.

"I wouldn't say looking for you." I say.

"Oh really?" He raised an eyebrow at me. He challenged my very soul with his sweet and deep green eyes and silky voice. Oh. My. God. What was happening to me? How can one person make me feel like this?

"Yes really. I would say I was checking the area for you. And you know you still haven't told me what you're doing in here."

"I have. I told you I was waiting for you." He insists.

"Okay, but why?" My heart started to race. Ugh why???

"I wanted to see if the girl I kissed last night was still in there." He had walked over to me and I had to tilt my head just to look at him.

"She might be." I whispered.

"I hope so." He had leaned his head down towards my ear and whispered those three little words into it, his voice playful but also meaningful. Does that make sense? I don't know and I don't care so give me a break. I mean the guy practically had me drooling over him.

He then pulled something out of his pocket. It was a necklace. It was simple with a silver chain and a single heart charm. It was blue, my favorite color. And the shade of it was so beautiful. It looked like the tropical sea.

"What's this for?" I asked surprised.

"This was my mother's. She loved blue too. When she died I kept this on me at all times. And you remind me so much of her. You're both full of life and always put others first before yourselves. She died when I was a boy saving my life from a coyote that had found its way into our neighborhood. Anyway, I want you to have it."

I gasped and looked up from the necklace to his face. "Really? But it's your mom's. Wouldn't you want to keep it in her memory?"

"Of course. But because you remind me so much of her, it'd be an insult to not let you have it. So please take it." I knew that wasn't a request because he went behind me and fastened the necklace  around my neck.

"Wow. Thank you." I turned around and hugged him tightly. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me back. I snuggled my face into his neck and he pulled me closer. The moment was so perfect, almost nothing could ruin it.

Leo

"Leo!" Jonny called. I turned around to face him.

"Jonny, you're right next to me. What do you want?" I asked agitated.

"Can you take these files up to Bridget. I got, uh, stuff to do so yeah. Thanks! See ya!" And before I could even utter a word he ran off. So now I'm stuck with the job of disturbing Bridget. Great. Please note the sarcasm.

I went up to her loft and opened the door saying "Bridget I got some stuff for you." But stopped dead in my tracks. There she was in the arms of the one and only Adrian. They quickly broke apart at the sound of my voice.

"Oh, hi Leo." She said nervously.

"Am I interrupting something, because I can come back later?" I asked, looking at each of them.

Adrian answered instead of Bridget. I was asking her though. "Nope you're good. She was just thanking me for the necklace I gave her.”

"Necklace?" I asked confused. She pulled it out from under her shirt and showed me. Damn why did it have to be nice? I knew she loved it. It was blue, in the shape of a heart, and it was a gift from a boy.

"Nice." I said flatly. "Anyway, I have some files for you from Jonny, That's why I came up here."

She took them from my hands. "Thanks. I'll go through them when I get a chance."

And with that I left. I almost slammed the door but caught myself knowing that would just raise suspicion. But just because I left the room didn't mean I didn't have to not watch them. I ran to the surveillance room and pulled up the feed from her room. We didn't have many cameras but there was one in her room.
