(Time skip to middle of the night.)

Gray had been sleeping when he was awoken by Tristitia. Not so much that she was being loud, but the absence of her aura had unnerved him somewhat. Gray had fallen asleep much earlier than Tristitia had, and as he looked around, he spotted her jacket lying in the grass.

Further away, he could see her silohet illuminated by an eerie purple energy, and a strange muffled sound between a laugh and a cry emanated from her.

Gray slowly wiggled out of the sleeping bag and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. Standing, he quietly made his way over to her.

"Hey, you okay?" He asked, startling the girl. The small holographic like figures that interacted in her palms vanished as she clenched her fists. She turned to face Gray, her face covered in tear stains.

"Yes...No... either way, it doesn't concern you," she said, her breath catching in her throat.

"It's hard to keep things to yourself. If you don't feel safe telling me, that's alright. But you can tell me." More tears formed in her eyes and Gray began to walk away before she caught him by his wrist, turning him around.

"I...I want to," She walked, sitting down in the grass by the simmering embers of their fire. Gray sat down next to her, looking into her eyes. Staring back into his lonely grey ones, she could see a hidden pain like the one hers held, and in that moment, came to trust him.

"It all started when I was six years old...

Flashback: 12 years ago.

It was a stormy night and lightning crackled. A sinister force lurked in the air. Smoke billowed from the townhouses and all the lights had been extinguished except for the fire in the hearth, which provided warmth in the cold, harsh weather.

Outside, pacing the roads, was a very dangerous man known as Otis. He was the master of the Death Scythe guild, which was charged for countless numbers of murder and man slaughter.

He paced up the front steps of Aeson and Aglaia Anastos's house, his dark blue hair concealed in a hood. Aeson and Aglaia were Tristitia's parents and had both been members of Fairy Tail when they were younger. They now lived in Crocus, the main town in Fiore.

Otis reached the door. He knocked twice and then double checked to make sure no one was looking. He used his magic to then create a net shaped pattern that separated the door into small, cubed chunks. With a swoosh of his cape, he stepped inside the house, as bloodthirsty as a predator hunting it's prey.

From upstairs, Aeson, who was a solid script mage, could hear Otis's footsteps. Leaving the side of his sleeping wife, he stepped out of the room, not knowing what was going to happen next.

As soon as he stepped out of the room and into the stair way, he was greeted by the face of Otis.

"Hello, Aeson," spoke Otis, in a dark, deep voice.

"Otis," replied Aeson, in the same serious tone.

"At last we meet again. Now tell me... where can I find this god slayer daughter of yours?" Otis smirked.

"You'll never live to find out. Solid script: Fire!!" Aeson created a solid script, and fire shot out of the word fire. Otis dodged the fire and shot a beam of white light at Aeson. He jumped out of the way, but he moved too slow. The beam shot through him, causing Aeson to scream in agony. He fell to the floor, dead, blood pouring over his body and staining his dark brown hair.

From upstairs, his cry had woken Aglaia, six year old Tristitia, and Althia, Tristitia's four year old sister who had healing powers. Aglaia ran into her daughter's room. She grabbed Althia and rushed into Tristitia's room. She found her eldest daughter in tears but had no time to comfort her. Aglaia had to get her daughters out of the house.

Aglaia not only had learned speed amplifying magic in her years at Fairy Tail, but also inherited magic from her father. While her mother was a necromancer, her father  had been a powerful king god slayer, who could slay any god and is why Tristitia and her sister are both god slayers; making Aglaia the god slayer of balance.

Out of instinct, she grabbed Tristitia and darted out of the house, dodging Otis. She put down the two girls.

"Tristitia, I want you to take your sister and run... run until you can't see this house anymore," Her mother said, kissing the two good bye. Tears streamed down her face.
"Remember, no matter what happens, your father and I will always love you. Now go!"

Tristitia obeyed and grabbed Althia tightly by the hand. Her mother dashed back to the house to confront Otis, her dark pink eyes filled with a mix of rage and sadness and her pale brown hair wisping in the wind.

Tris ran, ran past the house, ran even when she heard her mother's dying scream, ran until her tiny legs gave out and her lungs burned. Her vision blurred, and both she and Althia passed out.

Flashback ended.

As Tristita finished explaining what had happened, Gray's eyes filled with tears of sympathy, and suddenly, two cold, beefy arms wrapped around her petite frame. She found herself crying, clinging to the fabric at the back of his shirt, feeling secure in his comforting embrace.

"I know how you feel. I lost the most important people in my life to the demon Deliora- my mother, father and my mentor, Ur. Not a day goes by that I don't remember their sacrifice."

"I-I'm sorry you had to remember that. But, thank you Gray... for the hug... I haven't had one in what seems like twelve years."
