I ran into the palace, throwing open the double doors into the common room. Hades, Persephone, and Adonis were sitting in the armchairs and turned to look at us.
"How'd it-" started Persephone , but I cut her off.
"The gates of Tartarus have been opened!"
"What?! How?!" Demanded Hades, placing his hands on my shoulders, his eyes full of worry.
"My best bet is that a powerful mage somehow made their way into the Underworld and opened the gates, which would explain the dead wizards appearing. "
"Yes, but what do we do now?" Adonis asked.
"Well, I think the five of us mages should go kick some ass."
"Yes. You can go kick some ass, but first we should devise a strategy. Come with me," Hades and Persephone led us into the study.
"What about a sneak attack? You can spy on them, learn their strengths before attacking," Suggested Adonis.
"Indeed, that does seem like the best option." Hades agreed, pouring himself a shot of nectar.
"Fine. If that's the route we should go, then we should get equipment," I added.

As they were talking, I noticed that Adonis had snuck out of the room. Walking out of the study, I looked around the common room, but he wasn't in there. I walked up stairs, walking down the hall to his room. I saw a light coming out from the room along with a hushed voice that I recognized as Adonis's. I pressed my ear up against his bedroom door.
"Yes...sneak attack... no...yes Ms."
That bastard. Who is he talking to about our plans?!
Slowly, I walked back downstairs and into the study. I promised myself that I was not going to tell Tris about this, but Natsu had to know.
I ushered Natsu over.
"What's up, Gray? "
"Follow me." We walked out of the study and sat down. Checking to make sure Adonis wasn't coming down the stairs, I whispered to Natsu.
"Adonis is working for the enemy."
"That damned bastard!" Natsu clenched his fists, full of flame and stood up, but I pushed him back down. I heard foot steps coming this way.
"Hello, boys. Shouldn't you be in the study?" Smirked Adonis as he walked into the study.
"That was close," Breathed Natsu.
"You bet it was, flame for brains."

While Persephone helped Erza and Lucy pack the necessary equipment for the journey into Tartaurus and to spy and ambush the enemy, my dad pulled me aside into his bedroom. The light in the room was supplied by various candles around the room and ancient sculptures and paintings of Persephone and him decorated the room. On his bed laid a crimson colored box.
"Open it," Hades beckoned. I slowly crept up to the box and taking off the lid, peered inside. Inside was a cream colored cloth that was attached to a silver chord. It was beautiful.
"It's a special cloak," Hades said, taking the cloth out of the box. Draping the cloth around my shoulders, he tied the chord around my shoulders.
"Now, Tris, this cloth is made from a special wool and thus has special properties. If it glows, you'll know that you'll be able to use it. I hope that it is of use to you in your battle."
"Thanks dad," I smiled and hugged him close as I let all the tears I had held- from fear, from sadness- out onto his shoulder and hoped this wouldn't be the last time.
