Gray and Tris were now standing in front of the Fairy Tail guild hall after countless minutes of flying and Gray yelling 'put me down'.

With a flutter of her wings, they retracted back into tattoo form. Gray smiled at Tris, slowly grabbing her hand.

"Now, as soon as we walk in, there might be a pink haired boy trying to insult me. His name is Natsu Dragneel, a fire dragon slayer," Gray said bitterly.

Oooh. I get it: Fire and ice- don't mix.

"And there might be a girl with light blue hair trying to kill you. Her name is Juvia, and she is crazily in love with me."

"Oooooo, do I see love in the air?" Tris batted her lashes, feeling oddly like her 'mother' in that moment.

"No... it's not like that..." He blushed, turning away from her

Author: Ooooo. I wonder ... could it be you like Tristitia?
Gray: Shut up, Ari. I just met her.
Author: Fine... but you never know... maybe one day...

"Oh. Okay."

"So, you ready?" Gray asked, squeezing her hand a little.

"You bet I am!" Still holding her hand, Gray opened the doors to the guild.

"Hey Ice Princess! Let's fight!"

That must've been Natsu.

"Not now, flame for brains. I got to take Tris to see Makarov. "

What?! He is usually more... I don't know... more cold and agitated than this. And who in the world is Tris... must be the girl he is with. Natsu thought as he stalked after the pair. That girl... she is strange. She smells just like... death.

The pinky, Natsu, stalked after Tris strangely. She glared at him and he turned away, sweat dripping down his tense figure.

A couple of guys in the guild were eyeing her suspiciously, some checking her out as she walked by.

"Gray, my darling, you've returned... with...a girl??!!"

That must be Juvia. She scanned Tris inquisitively, like she didn't get what was so special about a greasy, black haired nobody.

Gray pulled her through the room and up the stairs. "Love Rival!" Juvia yelled after them as they reached a wooden oak door that read Makarov's Office.

Gray knocked on the door twice before he heard, "Come in, child. "

Gray dragged Tris inside the room.

"Gramps, this is Tristitia. She wants to join the guild. " The moment she laid eyes on the man, they widened. She knew this man. She'd seen him once long ago when he had visited her house in Crocus. She hadn't expected him to be the guild master of Fairy Tail.

"Hello child. Gray, may you leave us?"

"But..."

"Gray, it's okay. I'll be out soon, ok?" Tris said reassuringly as she stepped into the room.
"Fine," He stepped out of the room and closed the door behind him.

"Tristitia... sadness..."

"I have met you before. You came to my parent's house once, years ago" Tris stated.

"Your parents don't happen to be Aeson and Aglaia Anastos, do they?"

"Y-yes. They were. You must know what happened to them."

"Truly tragic. Aeson and I were close when he and Aglaia were in the guild and I was like a fatherly figure for him. If only I had known that man would do something, I would have put an end to him long ago," He said, sadness cracking at the edge of his voice.

"No. It's okay. I'm sorry," Tris was surprised that after twelve years, he would still mourn him as strongly as she did.

"So, since I already know you're a death god slayer, where would you like your Fairy Tail emblem?"

"Wait. You already know about me being a death god slayer? "

"Your father loved you dearly and often asked me how your powers would influence your lifestyle. I'd say he told me all there is to know about you."

"Oh."

"And Tristitia," he began, turning to his desk. He pulled out a box that read To Tristitia, with love. "Your father and mother wanted you to have this when you would eventually join the guild." He handed it to Tris, who rocked it in her arms, desperately wanting to open it.

Mom...dad... Tears streaked down her cheeks.

"So, where would you like your emblem, child?"

Tris shifted before lifting up her hoody to a gash on her stomach. It had started to finally heal after ten years; it was hard to heal since death god slayers don't heal fastly. Healing is life, and countered her own dark powers. She knew that the gash would eventually leave a scar.

"Here. In white please." She pointed to her gash. He pressed the stamp onto the gash.

Perfect. Not only white, my favorite color, but it covers the gash completely, as if erasing that period of my life. It's time to move on, Tristitia. Your new life starts here.

She was woken from her state of thought by Makarov.  "Come on, child. Let's introduce you to the guild! "
