Ch. 16 Get Ready to Explore the Underworld

Tristitia's P.O.V
After breakfast, which consisted of lots of meat, which made Natsu and I attack it like wolverines, we sat in the common room.
"Alright, Tris. Lay down the news," Said Hades.
"Okay, dad, have you noticed anything strange around Tartaurus? "
"Tris, you know I can't go anywhere near Tartaurus. "
"I know but..." I started, unsure of how to tell him that something sinister was happening in his domain that he had no recognition of.
"Well, dad, supposedly there have been dead mages walking in the world of the living."
"What? I've noticed no strange magical currents anywhere in the Underworld. "
"They could possibly be trying to cover up their tracks so no one notices," Stated Gray. He looked at me for backing.
"Yeah. That could be the case, but we would never know unless we went near or in Tartaurus. "
"Then we have a verdict. You five will just have to go to Tartaurus. "
Time skip: boys' room.

Gray's P.O.V
I was getting dressed in the proper Underworld attire, as Hades liked to call it, which consisted of a navy blue chiton with a bage belt and gold rings on the shoulders. Natsu also wore one, but it was brown and went badly with his scarf.
That's when the door suddenly swung open, to reveal an agitated Adonis. He came over to me and pinned me to the wall. He smiled evilly.
"Hey, what are you doing?!" asked Natsu.
"Shut up or I will take your scarf, shove it up your butt, and poke out your eyeballs."
Author: Dang Adonis, are you on your period?!
Natsu grabbed his scarf and held it close, embarrassed to have felt threatened by him.
Adonis looked back at me. His hand tightened around my neck.
"If you know what is good for you, you will leave Tris alone. If you don't... you'll be there to witness what I'll do to her."
I knew what he was talking about. Angrily, I put my hand on the arm that held my neck, and covered it in ice.
"Uggh! You fool!" He said angrily, clutching his hand, and walked out of the room. I slowly fell to the floor, but Natsu caught me. I grasped my neck, and took short, shaky breathes.
"You okay?"
"Yeah. I think so, but he said he was going to do something to Tris. If he even dares to lay a finger on him I'll!"
Natsu clenched his fists. A small fire burned in his hands.
"As long as I'm here, he won't be able to do anything. "
"Thanks Natsu. But don't tell anyone about what just happened, okay?"
He nodded and we walked out of the room.

Tristitia's P.O.V
Lucy, Erza and I stood outside of the palace gates in our chitons that Persephone gave us. Lucy's was pink, Erza's was blue, and mine was white with navy blue accents around the end. Then Natsu, Happy, and Gray came out. Gray's chiton went perfectly with his eyes. I smiled and he came to stand by me. My mom had packed us food, mostly left over meat and ambrosia from this morning, water, a spy glass, and, like all mothers, a first aid kit.
"Bye now, honey! And don't forget to put on sunscreen!"
"Mom, we are in the Underworld! There is no sun!" I yelled back, blowing her a kiss. I turned back to the team.
"Okay guys. Let's go!"
We trudged through the Underworld, me in the lead. We walked on for hours until finally coming across a river. It's white waters flowed downhill, and it looked seemingly harmless. But in the Underworld, all of the rivers do something, whether it makes you unable to be stabbed or tortures you forever.
"Why not just wade through it?" Gray said, slowly stepping into the water.
I quickly grabbed his hand and pulled him back right when his foot would've hit the water. He fell and I fell on top of him.
"Mmmmm, Tris, I know you love me but what was that for?"
I blushed.
"Well, Mr. Fullbuster, that river there is the river Lethe. It makes you forget everything and everyone you have ever known."
He looked at me with a guilty expression, biting his lip. It said that he was sorry and that he would never want to forget everything that happened to him, the people he met, and Fairy Tail, his family.
I got off and reached out my hand to him. I could hear Happy's little voice saying 'yoooou looooove hiim', but I ignored it as Gray took my hand and stood up.
"That is today's geography lesson of the Underworld, everyone. Remeber, the rivers here all have different effects they impose on the living and dead. Alright, Happy, take Natsu over first and then take Lucy. I'll take Gray and Erza." I said, swooping up Erza and Gray into my arms and bringing them over to the shore. Natsu landed next to us, and a minute later, Lucy and Happy.
Behind us was a steep hill. I bet that if we reached the top, with our spy glasses, we could see Tartaurus. Sure enough, when we reached the top, there it was. Using the glass, I looked towards Tartaurus, and what I saw terrified me.
"What is it, Tris? " Gray asked, his eyebrows knitting together with worry.
I gulped.
"The doors of Tartaurus have been opened and our worst fears are reality."
