In a face

There's so much you can read in a face,
"I like you", "I'm scared", "I'm happy",
I suppose "I'm gonna hurt you" is not a common thing to see.
It must be why people often fail to recognize it,
Still, the kind of face holding that expression are never the most hideous ones
The ones you were told to fear by your parents and friends.
Nor the ones you saw as a child in your nightmares with a pointy nose and sharp teeth.
They're generally the nicest ones,
Like an angel fallen from the sky,
There's always a good reason why they were thrown out from there.
Your eyes wonder around a room and you see that face,
"But, you think to yourself, how coulf such pure thing want to cause me harm ?"
You're only fooling yourself,
You knew from the begining they would leave,
You saw it in their face and when they are gone,
The shame will come, shame because you thought you were different,
That instead of trusting your mind, you chose your heart.
Shame because you know that they won and you lost.
You thought you were a player but you were just a pawn in their game.
