Soul and Body

You had my body,

With a fist full of money.

You tried to get to my mind.

Telling me I'm holy,

While I'm under the sheets.

As you grip my throat, to rip my soul.

I knew you would no longer leave me,

Haunting me night and day,

Living in my every thought.

Making me fear for every step

And somehow along the road,

I became like you,

Selfish and with no hope.

A clone of the evil being in my brain.

I walked mountains and deserts,

Held on to what I had left of myself.

It was a long time ago,

A time when you had me,

Soul and body

But now I think I'm free.
