The Artist

I saw you,
At least I think I did.
And it was a miracle.
With a cloud of smoke and those neon lights,
You were everything but  human.
An angel or a demon that's not for me to say,
My eyes  always try to flee the common,
And my eyes landed on you as you are different.
You changed me, you did.
Because now I believe in miracle,
And I believe in the unbelievable.
Since the moment I saw you,
I know that I was wrong,
Wrong in everything with every thoughts that I had,
Wrong in words that I spoke
And you changed me.
Changed me into something I liked,
Because it resembled you.
But I guess that wasn't enough
And that must be why you left.
Now that I'm different and can't be my old self again,
People put me aside in hope that I'll turn back into who I were.
I know that I won't.

But now that you're gone I'm left asking myself
If I have become another bad copy of a masterpiece.
