Ponyboys POV

Wow Darry your so strong
Darry? Oh my god I didn't recognize you with all that muscle.
Maybe Ponyboy will one day be as strong as you. One day? Darry is better than me and so is Soda I understand that now. Darry is all bug and has muscle and to be honest I'm jealous. I can start working out more. No. I WILL start working out more track only goes so far so starting tomorrow I'm going to try and fix the roofing on the house. That's what Darry does right?

Darry and Soda left for work leaving me home alone. I got some roofing from the garage and got the ladder out as well. I set everything up and made my way up the latter. Oh my god it was so heavy! I did this for fabout twenty minutes when the heat became to much and I fell off the latter.

White hot pain shot through my body and the wind got knocked outta me. When I heard Darrys truck I let myself fall into darkness.

I woke up groggily. "Pony?" I heard Darry mutter. "Oh my god what were you thinking?!" He yelled. "I just wanted to be like you." I admitted. He looked at me so I continued. "I'm so weak and I have barley any muscles on me! You are strong and everyone loves you!" Darrys expression softened. "I just wanted to be like you" "Ponyboy you have nothing to be ashamed about! You're smart, a great runner, a loyal friend, your handsome! What do you think people dislike about you?" He asked. "I'm not as strong as you and I'm not handsome like Soda. I'm nothing but the tag-along! The child that no one wants!" I exclaimed. "No your not Ponyboy Michael Curtis you are so much more than that! It's sad to see that you don't think that as well." Darry said softly. "Can't you see that we all love you? So stop being so sad and start smiling!" He poked me in the stomach and acted like he hurt his finger. "Man Pone you really do have abs" I laughed at him. He was a good brother.
