3.Gone

I pulled my hair into a messy bun and jumped down the stairs. Only to have Jacob catch me before I landed.

"Edward, Bella and Renesmee are going out of town and was wondering if you wanted to go with them. There leaving in ten," he smiled

"Do you want to put me down or lose your head?" I asked trying to loosen his grip.

"What would Embry think if I told him in a few months your going to leave and stay in London?" He said raising his eyebrow.

"You wouldn't dare."

"You know he's planning on proposing to you tomorrow."

"Wait what?!?"

"Shit I'm guessing Edward didn't tell you."

"No, why the hell would he tell me something like that, your probably making it up anyway." I said breaking his grip around me.

"Oh you just have to wait and see." He smiled.

I sat down on the side of the road outside of Charlie's house. He was kind of like a dad to me, he treated me like a daughter. I was waiting for him to get home so that I could talk to him.

Right than his car pulled up and he stepped out, "hey kiddo what you doing out here?"

I stood up and my eyes were stained with tears, "Embry's going to propose tomorrow. I don't want to."

He pulled me, "oh crap, how do you even know that?"

"Jacob." I let out.

"Well he gonna kill him."

"Did you know." I sniffed.

"I had a small hunch, but I thought in maybe a few years."

"I'm not going to be here in a few years. Or even a few months."

"Why not?"

"I'm going to London with my friend, no one else besides her boyfriend. I did t want this. I'll just ruin his life."

"I understand, a little too well."

After claiming down I went inside and we had tea and coffee, I knew when I leave I was going to miss him. It was true though I didn't want to mess up his life, so the best thing was to just not be in his life at all.

"Hey your back," Embry smiled at me as I walked into the house.

I stood there for a second, "yeah I back. But you know one day I might not come back so you have to be prepared. Understand me?"

"What are you talking about, you'll always come back." He smiled wrapping me into a hug.

Great, this is just great.

"Oh look at the live birds." Jacob laughed.

I got out of Embry's hug and pushed past Jacob.

Than I turned to face him, "the answer will always be no." I started walking again and got to my room and shut the door.

He's only 18 he has a whole life a head of him, just not with me. It will never be with me. I'll just hurt him or disappoint him and I can watch myself ruin his life because he deserves so much more than I am.

There was three knocks at the door symbolizing that it was Edward.

"Come in," I said sitting on my bed with my laptop looking at places to live in London, or anywhere until I can get to London next spring.

"Embry doesn't know you know. He thought you were talking to Jacob."

"I was talking to them both. I can't stay here. He'll imprint eventually and forget about me so really I'm just doing everyone a favor. I'll be gone my tonight." I said nor looking up for the bright screen.

"You don't have to leave Everlasting."

"Yes, I do. It's what I do. I leave and go find a new family and new friends...that's all I do. It's all I'll ever do."

"Everlasting, that's not all you do. You've been here two years now."

"Yeah, that's the longest I've stay in one spot. It's just time for me to leave Embry and you. You may be my brother but you have your own family there better than just me."

"Everlasting you are part of this family since the first time you stepped in that door." He said sitting down beside me in the bed.

"I just ruin peoples lives, Edward that's what I do." I sighed.

"And that's why we live you. You think you ruin there lives you just make them better." He smiled.

"When I first got here you said I was Aro's pet and that I wasn't your sister anymore. And at the time it didn't hurt me because I have been looking for you for 100 years but you didn't care, a few days later it hit me, you never tried to find me, when that was all I did with my life. And than it hurt like hell. Because you'll always be my little brother no matter where you are."

"And you'll always be my big sister bo matter where you are, just promise to come back in a few years to visit." He smiled.

"Thank you, for walking with me to school every morning to make sure that they didn't though anything at me. O may never of said it but thank you."

"I would of just love to of thrown something back at them." We both smiles remembering our past for what feels like forever away was our life.

I woke to a buzzing sound showing me that my phone was going off, I picked it up seeing it was an alarm. I click the 'end' button. I looked around to see I was on the couch. I went to the kitchen to see Bella sitting there with Jacob.

Jacob's head shot up, "he's gone Everlasting."

"What are you talking about Jacob?" I asked a little confused at what he was trying to say.

"Embry...he's gone, he never went home. The pack caught his sent showing that he headed toward Canada." Bella said and my smile dropped and so did me heart.
