24. Attacking

  "What are you going to tell Edward when he asks where you've been?" Anthony asks as he crushes my lips with his.

  "I was at the library." He laughs.

  "You don't strike me as the library type." I smile.

  "I have to go." I say wishing otherwise.
 
  "I know." He kisses me one last time before I pull away and grab my bag and hope into my car.

  Edward told me I wasn't allowed me be near Anthony in a romantic way unless I was out of mind reading area. He's been off in a good way since he's been able to read my mind. Like now he really believes everything is going to be okay and he doesn't have to worry that some sereal killer is going to come up form my past and murder us all.

  I think he's happier. He smiles more even when he's not around Bella, which is rarely ever.

  "Where's were you? It's 2 in the morning!" I want to laugh, he acts like my father. "I do not!"

  "If you don't want to hear the truth get out of my head maybe." I suggest laughing a little.

  "I would if I could. But I can't so deal with it." He huffs.

  "I was at the library then." I state.

  "Oh I bet. You loving studying even though you some how know everything. Tottaly went to the library at 2 am and did some good hard studying." He seems not eve  slightly amused.

  "Well when you can't sleep what else are you supposed to do with you nights?"

  "I wouldn't know it bee  100 years since I felt sleep wash over me."

  "I'll be off to bed then." I say skipping to my room, that's my little joke off to bed. I really just lay in my bed and hope one day I'll fall asleep. But I know that will never happen.

  "Back so soon?" Bella asks walking out of the office with a book.

  "Edward would have followed my sent and found me and that would have been akward. So yeah I'm back." I smile because Bella is like a goddess so smart and pretty and she puts prude in everything she does. Plus she gives the best advice. She's like the older sister I never had and just like 100 years younger then me.

  "See you in the morning then," she smiled and kept walking and I entered my room.

  I threw off my shoes and changed clothes. Flopping onto my bed a curled up in a ball and wished for dreams to take form.

  Then a crash went off in Jane's room we all rushed to the sene and the window was broken another crash came from Ethan's room and ran and screamed when he was gone. Someone stole my baby. And they were going to die.

  We were all in a panic getting everyone out and see aching for who ever took Ethan and Jane. The pack caught a sent down near La push and the vampires spread out the rest of the way looking for any sing of them.

  That's when we heard it all of us a small little cry from Ethan going near La push and we all ran heading for the sound of my baby boy.

  We got to the boarder and the pack was already there surrounding Felix who was holding Ethan and Jane.

  "You either hand over Everlasting or I kill these two." Felix growled Ethan's eyes were puffy from crying and Jane had makeup tears.

  "What do you want her for?!" Carlisle asked staying calm.
 
  "She dyed more then once she has lived though Aro's attack. She has to be special." He was giving up until he got what he wanted. So that was what I would give him.

  I stepped forward. No one stopped me they knew Edward would if there was a flaw in the plan. "Give Ethan and Jane back." I growled trying bot to kill him right then and there.
 
  He tossed Ethan in the air, Rose caught him. Then there was a shout from the packs side it was Embry. He just slide on his shorts and ran as close as he could to the action.

  "Please Everlasting just let Jane die and we can all go back to being normal.  We can kill Felix and be normal again." He had puppy dog eyes on.

"We'll never be normal Embry it's just not possible."

"Anything is possible Everlasting."

"But my life is so screwed up already. This will just make it worst." Tears stung my cheeks as I relized that he could never understand, I can't let Jane die

   I walked up to Felix and he threw over Jane. Then I nodded to Edward who clued into my thoughts and did as I thought he walked slightly close and said...

  "Felix my we just give her something before we never see her again?" Felix nodded.

  We met half way and Edward hugged me secretly slipping a light into my pocket. And handing me a little chanel for show.

   I walk back to Felix, "Well we must be going then. It was great to see you again."

  That's when I pulled on his arm with so much force it ripped off he screamed as the others got trees and made the fire I lit it and Edward attacked. I threw the arm in the fire and went for Felix.

  Just a few short moments later Felix was nothing but ash and we all walked away knowing Aro wouldn't do anything about it.
