14.Fire

As the wind blew hair into my eyes, I looked beside my squinting to see who it was. At first it was Embry but when I blinked the face changed into someone else...Anthony. His eyes were red and his skin was pale. His lips were moving but I couldn't tell if he was speaking or not. His hair was waving with the wind pushing it in different directions, I think were walking somewhere but I couldn't tell, my eyes were glued to his face unable to look away.

Then I shot up in my sleep, sweat beaten off my forehead. I looked to the clock showing it was 4 am. I got up and sped down stairs. I grabbed a cup of coffee and went off to the living room, everyone was out hunting because I couldn't hear them. I sat on the couch and turned on the screen the news was on saying something about a fire surrounding a house in a circle like it was done on purpose, no one made it out alive. The thing that caught my eye was that it was Embry's house before they said another word I was in LA push.

When they cleared everyone to safe distances they said how many was in the house, two people, Male and female. Embry's mum and probably Embry, but something inside my chest was almost trying to rip itself out it was like my body was on fire and it was tearing my body apart. I didn't know what was going on until I got a call from Jacob.

'Hello?'

'Where are you we need to talk!'

'Not now my body is tearing itself apart and I don't know why. I'm at the fire!'

'Well if you're thinking that's Embry don't, It was Seth, and Embry's mom. They were waiting for Embry to get there I was on my way to go there when I heard the news."

'Then where's Embry?'

"I don't know. But someone wanted him dead. Enough to set fire to his place.'

'Is Seth...'

'Yeah.....The house was covered in gasoline before it was set on fire, there was no survivors left in there.'

'I may have an idea who it was. But I can't go see with my insides being torn apart.'

'I'll call Edward.' Be said before the went dead.

I went to the woods to wait for Edward but I got so Hungry, and I could just smell the body surrounding me it took control of my mind.

I woke in a hospital bed blood covered my hands, but they were tied down with chains, same with my feet. I felt light headed, the room was spinning as someone walked in. They sat beside the bed but I could tell who it was.

" oh my darling, animal blood must not keep you occupied. " Anthony.

"You killed him." I let out.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He answered.

"You tried killing Embry bug instead you kill Seth and Embry's mother." I said closing my eyes, not wanting a tear to fall.

"He was in love with you, not by choice. Don't you want to have a choice?"

"I did, I never felt the imprinted only he did." I stated.

"And he could never love anyone else when he was still in love with you, now it would have been better if Embry was there to, but what can you do." Anthony sounded like he was smiling and happy that Seth was dead, and I didn't know if because Seth is dead is why I'm so hungry but it started after he died.

*Flashback*

I was walking up the stairs to our apartment, opening the door and gasping to what I saw.

"Anthony?!?!" I yelled there were bodies lining the floors, drained of blood, "what did you do?!"

"I'm sorry." I heard him whisper from the corner of the room where he sat covered in blood and curled up in a ball.

"What happened," I asked sitting down beside him.

"I can't remember, I was at a bar with all these people, next thing I know I opening my eyes and drinking the last alive person. I don't know what happened." Be sounded like her was going to cry.

"It's okay," I said hugging him.

"No its not, I can't fix this, there dead. What did I do?!" He put his head in his hands.

*End of Flashback*

"Did you ever remember what happened when I found you with all the bodies at the apartment?" I asked wondering if that is what happened to me.

"Nope, buy I got over it." He laughed.

"I can see that." I said.

"How is she?" Edward asked walking in.

"Doesn't remember a thing," Anthony answered.

"I think you can untie her if she's not hungry anymore." Edward said.

"I'm hungry just not for blood." I said keeping my eyes closed.

"Okay I'll get Esme to cook you something." Edward told me, "are you staying in here?" He asked Anthony.

"Sure, for a few minutes, I'll be down there later." He answered.

"Okay, Everlasting if you feel the need to kill just tell someone...someone that's not him." I guessed Edward meant Anthony.

I heard the door shut, "Don't worry it usually only happens once Lucy."

"How would you know, you can't even remember one from almost 100 years ago.

He laughed, " I think I'd remember not remember a chunk of my day. "

"Unless you came home and didn't know you left. And you just thought it was the same day when you woke up." I said to him.

"It's only happened once Lucy, okay?" He asked almost like he didn't want to here more about it.

"Okay," I said back.

"Thank you," he said to my holding my hand.

"For what," I asked a little confused.

"For never changing." He said.

"Well, your welcome." I smiled.
