Chapter 2

---Kiyomi---

I woke up to the sight of, would you believe it, the mist.

"Argh." I groaned as I got out of bed, stretching.

Seriously, everyday it's the same, mist, mist and more mist. I thought with a sigh as I made my way to the shower. Well at least today once we leave the village, maybe there will be something to see and I might actually be able to see the sky!

After my shower I quickly dried my hair and got dressed. I slipped on my bra and undies, my white kimono with random red stitches at the end of the long sleeves, it reached just above my knees and instead of a tie around the middle, I tied my Hidden Mist headband around my waist which might I add had a red bandana type thing instead of black.

I took a look in the mirror, leaving my long white hair out while my blood red eyes reflected right back at me.

I smirked, before grabbing my sword, which had a black sheath, a red string tied around certain areas of it while the hilt was red with an odd shape of a circle yet it had two dips on opposite sides of it. I tied my sword to my back, grabbed my bag and slipped on my black ninja sandals before leaving the house.

(so basically she looks the same as she does in the cover hahah)

The road to the Leaf Village was long and boring; it ended up taking us three days to get there. Yeah it was a pain in the ass but it was pretty fun.

Rei and Akari were basically flirting the whole way, our Sensei was basically sleep walking and me? Well to be honest, I blocked everything out and thought about everything.

I thought about these exams, if we'd pass and how we would, I thought about the possibility of only me passing, but most of all, I thought about the possibility of seeing Gaara there.

The chances were high I mean he is the same age as me and of course there has to be a team of Sand ninja in the exams right? I mean.. it's been how many years now? 7? But, even if it has been ages I still-

I instantly cut my thoughts off, I stopped walking, I froze.

This.. this sand. I thought as I touched my face, bringing my finger down and staring at it. I'd know this sand anywhere.

"Hey! Are you just gona stand there all day or what?"

I was brought back to reality by Akari's voice.

I looked only to see her snapping her fingers in front of my face.

"Ah! Ok!" I said smacking her hand away.

She laughed.

"We're here."

I refocused my vision ahead of us and saw she was right. We stood outside large doors and the sign that said The Hidden Leaf Village.

As we walked closer, I could almost smell him.

He's here. I thought as I stared into the street, ignoring everyone talking around me. I know his sand, I know his smell... but.. even if it is him, he seems different... it's almost scary the amount of blood lust I can smell just from these few scraps of sand.

"Kiyomi!"

I snapped out of my day dream only to find my team and 2 of the Leaf Village ninja staring at me.

"Sorry, what?" I asked completely out of it.

"You needa sign this and them we can go in." explained Sensei as she handed me paper and a pen.
