There is no way out, you thought. Why the heck didn't they go out when Gino was making all that noise? You groaned in your head. Now you're dead meat.

You start reciting a prayer as you clutched the knife tightly. Just then you see a person farther behind the zombies that are in front of you.

You're quite sure that she's not a zombie, the way she's waving her arms like that. She didn't make any sound though and disappeared on the bend of the corridor.

The zombies are at an arms length now and you ducked, sliding and then crouching to get past them. One had grabbed at your skirt and you whipped your hand with the knife to get them off of you.

You gave a whine at the pressure on your waist and a bit of your skirt tore. One had sunk his teeth on your bag just below your neck and you used force to push him off. Finally you shove a chair at them and ran.

You turn on the bend and run but then you see the girl on a slightly opened door.

"In here!" she called.

So you went in and closed the door behind you.

Immediately you scrunch up your nose at the smell. You're inside the boys' toilet.

You've never liked the smell whenever you pass one here at school and being inside one with the door closed is worse. Still this is better than being chased and eaten in the open.

You look at the girl in front of you. She looked scared and tired. She winced when she took a step back. You also noted how she eyed your bloody uniform and the knife you clutch on your hand.

"Hi, I'm Y/N," you say. She looked much younger than you and unlike Dana you don't know everyone who was studying here especially the transferees.

Just then the door behind you made a sound. It shook and rattled, like somebody was bumping on it. You hear the moans and you know that there are many of them out there.

The girl pressed a finger up to her lips and walked slowly deeper into the room. You have never been inside the boy's comfort room before, only knowing from glimpses outside that the layout of the room was like the girls' toilet which was beside this one. There were four cubicles, three urinals and lavatories. There is a long tiled block below the mirror that serves as a vanity table. The tiles here are green whereas the girls' are red.

The girl sat on an upturned water bucket and you slumped on the wall next to her.

"Better keep it down," she said. "I'm Christina. First year, from section Piety."

"Y/N. Third year, Temperance." You smile weakly at her. This seems normal enough, "Thank you for earlier."

"It's nothing," she said. She winced again as she rubbed at her ankle.

"Are you hurt?"

"It's nothing," she repeated. "I fell down yesterday but it doesn't hurt much like before."

"Oh, that's good." There was a bit of silence as you contemplated your near death experience. You have to learn to be more flexible in your movements if you ever want to live longer, you thought. And the skirt had to go.

The girl didn't say anything as you removed the skirt and sat back down. The black shorts covered most of your thighs and would let you move more freely.

"We have to go down to the clinic." You finally say, "But of course we'll have to wait once the crowd outside goes away."

"If they ever go away," Christina whispered.

"They should, we have to get there before noon."

"And why is that? Can you get out?"

You didn't answer immediately, "I sure hope so."

You open your pack and give the packet of cookies to the girl. Then you take out your cellphone. There were about twenty missed calls from your mother and you see that they were all from yesterday. You tried calling back but there was no signal.

Your heart sank as your phone beeped and the words 'low battery' appeared. If you only knew then you wouldn't have played 'Bounce' yesterday.

"There's a socket there," Christina pointed out to the one you can see below the mirror.

You shook your head, "I don't have any charger."

She rummaged in her skirts' pocket before pulling out something rectangle and black. She held it out to you and you realize that it's a universal charger.

"I was charging my phone's battery in the library when this all happened." She explained.

You took the charger and opened your phone to get the battery. After plugging it into the socket you decided to check the room. There was nothing of interest here and checking the cubicles made you recoil. The flush was broken and you just closed the lid to minimize the odor.

The windows were high and small but there was a small square opening on the wall. You think you might be able to fit in there but you aren't sure where it leads to.

"There are monsters on the female toilet," Christina said, her voice cracking.

You sighed and sat back down beside her. She put her head on her knees and you listen at her muffled weeping.

"Wake me up please," she pleaded over and over.
