ALEX'S POV
I woke up beside my mom, weakly lying on the hospital bed, when I realized I have school today. I remembered Eli, not the thing I felt for her, but her father's idea of having her in my life.
I put my mom's hand beside her, and I kissed her forehead, then went out of the room. I can't think normal, do I really have to go to school today? Or find money for the hospital bill? There's only one person I assure I can go to.
"Alex. What a pleasant surprise, you went here. Is this because of Eli?" Mr. Rosewoods talked as he signs the papers he's looking at.
"N-no sir, I...I just wa---- My mom is in the hospital."
"Is she doing well?"
"Apparently, no. But you said If I could help you with Eli, you can help me with my mom."
"Oh Alex. You know, I don't see any improvements on Eli, but it's my pleasure to help, I have the rights to do it, cause I said it so, I will just sign it on your account."
"Sorry Sir, but I don't have any accounts."
"Okay. Come here tomorrow morning."
"Thank you, Mr. Rosewoods."
"No problem, Alex. As long as you work for me, we'll work for each other and maybe you have to make an account so I can just sign it to you."
"Sure. I'll keep that in mind sir."
"By the way, where's Eli?" He asked.

ELI'S POV
"Ugh! Alex! What have the Lords done to you?!?! What time is it? I'm going to be late!"
I groaned to myself waiting for Alex outside our garden. Where did that guy go, I didn't ear anything from him since yesterday.
"Eli!" Alex called, holding a small bouquet of roses."
"Oh please, I'm not accepting that, just to forgive you, mister."
"And I just want to say, this is not for you, on the first place." He winked.
"Sorry If I mistakenly thought it was for me cause a guy don't go in the girl's house with a bouquet with him."
"Not me. I'm giving this to the most important person in my life."
I accidentally felt the jealousy inside me and I suddenly got curious of who that person could be. It could be one of his relatives, family members.
"Aren't we going yet? Cause we have school today." I called.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you. I don't have the car right now, so we're com-----"
"Please don't say it, and I'm not doing that."
"Yes you will. We're going to catch the bus."
"No. I will talk to Mr. Holinberg."
"I've already talked to him. Late, silly?"
"Back off!"
I was still standing in the garden, not making a move.
"If you're just going to stand there, then I think I gotta go."
"Wait! I'll go, I don't have a choice." I walked behind him.
"You're such a giddy person."
"You don't care. I will be the giddiest person you'll ever met."
"That's not a compliment. This is the compliment..."
He ran quickly finding his way to the bus stop, I on the other hand, still catching my breath running behind him. This boy is so humorous! My hair got untidy when I reach the bus stop.
Seriously? He went for that! That far!
"Are you happy now? That I worked for my hair, then this will you do." I glared to him.
"Sometimes, you have to be simple."
"You don't care of my life. Mind your own."
"It's not always a happy day, Eli, you're not always on top. Maybe you have to give chance on things that are coming to you before it's too late. Just like me, I've gone that far and I never give up."
"So you're telling me that I have to be like you! Are you insulting me?"
"Nope. I'm just right here, reminding you of the things, you have to take care of."
Before an instant, Alex and I made a one minute eye contact between each other when he suddenly called for the bus coming.
"The bus is already here." He said, then we stood up.

"What's up!" Cassie called me.
"Hey."
"That's all? Come on, talk."
"I don't have anything to say."
"Oh, come on, Eli! Looks like you're out of your usual self now."
"Shut up, bitch!"
"Next week will be the National Camp Day, what's the plan?"
"Plan to throw you off the mud, and clean yourself in a dirty river, that's it. Do you even like it? Cause I do."
"Nonsense. Me, I'll go with Josh." She gave me a poker face, cause I know she didn't like my idea.
Now I know where's her story heading to. Ugh! Why does she have to talk about this in class. So, instead I changed the story to Blake, maybe I could share it to her cause I don't really like her idea of having her and Josh in one room.
"You know what? I met Blake."
"What!" She almost fell from her seat. "You met who? Blake----"
"Yes, Anderson."
"OH MY GOSH!!!!" She screamed.
"Shhhh!" My classmates stared.
"Uhm..can I also meet him?" She asked.
"Of course. Besides, he wants a girlfriend now, maybe you could do. He's a catch." I boasted.
"Really! Aww, the boy I ever dreamed will going to be mine!!!!" She chuckles.
"Happy for you. I'm going somewhere." I went outside and head to the Ladies Room.
"Hey Eli!" Blake waved.
I think I saw Alex.
He's right. I have to give chance to the things that are coming to me. But I don't think I can do it right now, especially when I see and realize things that are hurting me.
