ALEX'S POV
Our mini apartment is always full of too much sadness. I believe on the saying, 'The Person who's cheerful, is the person that has too much problem to think about'. True, possible.
My heart always plunges everytime I see my mom, lying on her bed, sick. Why does she has to be like that? Of all people, why not me?!?! I always tell myself, I will never give up on her, no matter what happens.
But for now, there's sure thing I assure myself, and I'm happy with it, cause it completes me, taught me how to smile effortless on her own unique way. When will she be good to others?
"Alex, I know what you're thinking. Please stay strong for me." Mom said.
"Mom, I will always stay strong for you, no matter what happens."
"Go to school now, I'm sure Eli is already waiting for you, you'll be late."
"Don't forget to drink your medicine."
"Yes. I love you, my little son." She teared up.
"Oh mom." I hugged her.

"What's up!" I greeted Eli.
She didn't mind my stare.
"You know, I'll teach you how to greet people in an elegant way." I said.
But still, no respond. She opened the radio and put her sunglasses on and fall asleep, I think, cause she's leaning on the window.
On this little things, like seeing Eli, made me happy. Even if she's always like this to me. She's different from all girls I've ever met. While she's sleeping, something fell on her seat. It was a cute notebook. Pink, and has a quote on, 'Eli's Diary'.
Traffic felt heavier good thing, I can take a look at some. I can see her favorites, likes, dislikes. Then, cars moved back. Eli was already awake before we got to school.
"Uhm..Eli, something fell from your bag, I think it's my heart. Can you save it for me?" I smiled to her.
"Shut up!"
"Hey! Look down!"
Then she picked her diary.
"I'm not going home early so, go ahead if you got yourself earlier." She said.
"Thanks God! Now your talks made sense. I'll wait for you."
Her face is blank.
"Can you start your day, like smiling?" I said to her.
"No! There's nothing to smile about."
"Just, give it a chance. Who would mind, I might fall for your smile."
"Yeah, just on my teeth." She eed.
"Not funny, but I'll laugh for you."
"Would you stop that!" She growled.
"You know, they say, 'Even if you're sad, make your day by Smiling, and everything will fall into place' who would know, you can also made someone smile like you do."
"I don't want."
I got myself easier for this, yeah! I'm the McClauren guy! I've got my charm for girls.
I looked at Eli, like hours and no one was looking at us. I was staring at her beautiful face, now smile is forming on her lips.
"Don't look at me." She said.
"See! You're already smiling."
"I'm not!"
Then I tickled her, made her laugh louder.

"Eliii!" Cassie hugged me. "What's with those eyebags?"
"Do I look, like zombie?"
"No, more like cold lady."
"What the----" Cassie held Eli's shoulder.
"Just kidding."
"Good." Eli replied.

Waiting for her in the parking lot, made me want to buy a food. So I gone to the Cafeteria, I accidentally bumped to someone, I don't want to see ever in my life again.
"Alex? You're studying here?" Theri said.
"You wouldn't see me here if I'm not."
"Please don't get mad at me. My dad said I can't go to Australia, if I'm done with highschool."
"Then you probably should've gone to other school."
"I didn't know you study here, okay."
"If that's what you want me to believe, then fine."
"When will you stop your madness to me? Are we going to be like this forever?" She hugged me.
I feel like I want to strangle from her hug.
"My dad, wants to see you tomorrow. Can you come?" She asked.
"I'll think of it."
"Aww, your uniform really fits you. You look more hotter."
"You don't have to mind that."
You know when you don't like someone, you suddenly felt cold, like you don't want talking to them. But the other phase of me, brought back of what've happened in the past.
"So do you have a car now?"
"You know my family status, why are you asking that?"
"I'm just asking."
"Seriously? Cause for me it was more like insulting."
"Go home. I have someone on my ride."
"I can ride at the back." She smiled.
"Theri, please. Just go, okay."
"Calm, I'm just testing your temper if you're still the old Alex. Well for me, it is. So tomorrow, 7pm, I'll call you."
I just nod at her, then suddenly I remember something about Eli, speaking of Eli, I didn't hear anything from her since we've separate our ways from the homeroom. Speaking of Eli, she texted me.
'I'm on my way home now, I didn't saw your car in the parking.'
Really? She's saying me this? I declined one of someone's offer and I've waited for her, then I'll be gone like this. Like waiting for nothing. F**k. But then, I tried calling her but it says it can't be reach.
I really want to go home with her, cause tomorrow is weekend I would be joining her. Instead I'll be gone to the most hated thing in my life. Why am I talking to her anyway?
There's one thing I felt now.
I miss Eli.
