+ F O R E W O R D+ It is said that a paper can never go back to its original state once it has been folded or crushed. It is true-we are never the same person that we started the day as. Anything and anyone can change you. For better or for worse I do not know, but I hope that you will meet people who will make you the most breathtaking origami flowers or graceful cranes. If you meet someone who crushes you, I know that you will smooth yourself out and begin again. You are stronger than you think you are.
+ D E D I C A T I O N+ This is for all the wonderful people out there who refuse to be blown away by the wind and choose to make their own way in the sky. This is for all the people who have paper hearts-you deserve so much more, a beating heart that feels and aches. This is for all the people who cannot put words onto paper-no one can do that all the time. This is for all those who have marked my paper with their love. Thank you. ranking #56 amongst thousands of works-i haven't even came to terms with this fact. thank you all so much. i started paper when i decided poetry was something i was passionate about, and nine months in i've came so far. i'm honored that you have given me a chance to express my heart-and hopefully yours-and make a difference. never in my wildest dreams have imagined that paper would rank, let alone break the top hundred. thank you for making my writing journey even more lovely and molding me to become a better person. it is my hope that paper will resonate with you-poetry is for everyone after all.
