"So anyone you have in mind?"
NamElle sighed. It's always like this, he expect her to do all the work for him and get the credits to himself later. And that's the person, who she should trust like her own self. Person she supposed to want to be embraced by. Her father.
"I only have the Wish."
He looked up at her from his phone, where he most definitely wasn't doing any sort of business related stuff, just probably texting his wife. He would always call mom if he needed to say something. But he texted his new wife never pressing that call button.
"What wish sweetie? I can grant it!"
He enthusiastically nodded. NamElle just shook her head and leaned back in the seat at the back of the limo her father came to get her with from the airport.
"It's not that kind of Wish dad. I have 'Sowon' in mind."
She pressed her heart shaped neckless with his home town beach's sand. Oh how she missed him already.
"Dear, that's just wish in Korean!"
Ever since NamElle moved to Europe to learn more about dancing, improve her skills, to show her passion for choreography, Korean suddenly became her second language as she only spoke in English the whole time.
All though she could have expressed her love for him through body language, swift moves and dance, communication was just as important. And her dad just went along, as the CEO of big company he had to know English and where to have a better practice than with his own daughter.
"Jung Sowon, dad."
He couldn't believe that he wouldn't remember the only person that kept her company back in Korea. The only person who was brave enough to stand up against NamElle's dad and pursue her career. Accomplish her dream.
"You mean that Sowon?"
She wasn't sure what the tone in his voice was. He almost cracked up pronouncing the name and he had no problem doing so before.
"Yes dad, that Sowon, solo artist, who was a gem in your crown, triple prize in one shot."
Her dad shook and finally put his phone away. He nervously tapped the seat with his fingertips.
"NamElle, I know it's hard for you to lose a friend, but you have to understand, she left, her acting career is going great. Sowon won't come back just to train others."
NamElle's eyes were watering up, hot tears streamed down her burning cheeks. She bit her lip and buried her face into warm palms of hers.
Her body shook as silent sob escaped her throat. Her dad tried to pat his daughter on the back and even pull her into the hug, but she dodged his hands and fearlessly glared at him. Red teary eyes sparkled in the light that got in through a darkened window.
"NO DAD, YOU KNOW NOTHING."
She yelled and realized that the driver definitely noticed. Heard her scream and almost hit the brakes. But she managed to catch his stare in the mirror and make eye contact right before he stopped and they continued on driving.
Her dad seemed hurt by rude words that came from her mouth. But she didn't care all that much. She was angry.
"When I asked you if you had anyone in mind for the vocal trainer of the girls, I didn't think you would-"
"Yes dad, you didn't think." She cut him off and squeezed the neckless harder hoping that the glass will maintain the pressure. "I had a friend here, but you sent me to Europe." He was about to say something but she held up her hand and shook her head asking to let her finish. He nodded and sat back. "I found love in Europe dad... but then you sent me back to Korea."
