"You know... the sound of the shotgun is not as scary if you're on the other side of the trigger."
"I wish you could say these words, when not holding a gun pointed at my head."→★←
"Juna you have to let your voice fly, don't hold back."
Sowon scolded Juna for a first dozen time in a half an hour. She wouldn't have been harsh at this trainee, which she personaly adored for a triple talent.
But that was exactly the reason, why she was scolding her. Sowon wanted to bring Juna's vocals, with full power, which she knew, this girl had.
"Yes Sowon unnie."
Juna repeated monotoniclly for, who knows how many times, and still, despite all the tries, she wasn't able to deliver the it factor.
"One more time."
Sowon pressed the button of the CD player and music filled the room with a beat and melody. Juna gulped and closed her eyes. One...two...three...
"Fall-"
And her voice cracked up at the first note. Juna turned all red out of emberrassement and slid down to the ground hiding her face in her palms.
Sowon sighed as Juna was about to cry. Two different thoughts crossed her mind, she couldn't decide whether to be thankful that this didn't happen back in the auditioning room, or it would have been easier if she had failed and never made it to the group, so now she could be learning a long with other trainees.
"Juna I don't know-" Sowon stopped. Grin appeared on her face. "I know what to do."
She happily cheered and clapped her hands. An idea came into her head and she wasn't about to let go of it. Juna hopefully lifted her gaze.
"If you're gonna say that I shouldn't sing, I'll understand."
Juna faced her fate with painful tone in her voice as Sowon leaned back like her words would have just ran vocal trainer over.
"What? No." She shook her head. "Aish this girl." She leaned her head onto her palms. "All you need is a little bit of competition."
"Competition?"
Juna glanced in disbelief. Sitting alone with one of the best vocals in BigHit in this sound-proof room was enough nerve-wrecking she couldn't understand how competition would have made this any better.
"Think about it Juna. How did you beat JungKook when you were having a dance battle?" Sowon asked raising her eyebrow and smile played in her eyes. Juna nodded thinking about it. "You wanted to win, and you gave your all."
Sowon waited for realization to strike Juna, and eventually it did. Triplet shot from the ground clapping her hand, she had determined look on her face.
"Let's do it."
Sowon chuckled and held her thumbs up. She thought about offering Juna to compete against her own self, but when shook her head. No, she needed someone else.
"I'll go ask one of the girls to come, and you practice, okay?"
Sowon asked and left the room closing the door, she turned around and confusion hit her hard. There wasn't a single girl sitting on the chair in the corner of the room where she left them.
Sowon was about to come back into the room to ask Juna maybe she knows what happened or maybe it was possible to contact the girls, but she stopped as her gaze landed on Enna sitting by Sowon's desk with some sort of picture in her hands.
