Darien's heart was still racing even minutes after he found that Laila was fine.

After him and Elvey found her jumping away from Fira, he had welcomed her to the Castle. Him and Elvey were leaving again to go tell King Aelfric that she was awake but Laila insisted on coming with them.

So they were now walking down the Hall towards Darien's father's office.

"So this... Castle is in Faerie Land?" asked Laila in awe.

"Yeah pretty much. Except Faerie Land is everywhere." Elvey answered.

"What do you mean 'Everywhere'?" Laila's puzzlement was amusing to Darien.

"He means that instead of being over one country or something, it basically covers the whole planet and is somehow intertwined into human life but the main entrance is over North Pole." Darien explained.

Laila's face lit up, "Oh! So if Faeries exist does that mean that Santa Claus exists too?"

Darien and Elvey looked at each other in puzzlement.

Darien turned to Laila, "Umm.. Santa Claus?"

Laila's Eyes widened, "You don't know who Santa Claus is?"

Darien looked at Elvey. Who was she talking about?

Laila sighed, "Well, I guess you Faeries aren't very human at all then." she talked silently.

"Actually, we're very much like humans. We listen to music and play video games, we read magazines and watch sports." Elvey answered proudly.

"Oh! So do you guys watch football or hockey?" Laila's questions were pouring out of her mouth.

Darien moaned. "Laila, understand that no, we don't have all the humans things you do but we have games, events and things that could be similar to yours."

Laila was silent for a while, she was thinking, Darien guessed.

"Okay never mind." she waved the conversation away with her hand. "So.. Where are you guys taking me?" she looked around the Hall.

"We're taking you to Darien's father." Elvey answered.

"What does he wan't?" Says Laila, her curiosity coming back.

"To talk to you." They heard a voice behind them.

They all turned to see Kind Aelfric walking towards them with his arms spread wide.

"Welcome, Laila. To Borroway Castle." he beamed.

Laila looked at him cautiously.

"Umm.. Yeah.. Thanks.." she muttered.

"Now now, you're quite safe here. No need to worry." Darien's father walked away clearly meaning for them to follow as he continued. "You see dear Laila, Borrow Castle is the Faerie Kingdom. The Faerie world is intertwined with the human world-"

"Yeah, I already told her Father." Darien cut him off. He knew that if his father started explaining it would go on forever.

King Aelfric stopped short and looked at him, "Yes. I see."

He turned and they continued walking until they passed through the King's office door.

King Aelfric went and sat in his chair. "Please, sit Laila." he gestured towards a red leather chair. "Boys," he looked at them reproachfully, "you may stay, but cooperate."

Ignoring his father's look, Darien jumped into his favorite blue chair and lay across the armrests. Elvey came at sat on the footstool beside him.

"Laila," the King started up again. "Do you know the name of the demon that attacked you?"

Darien saw Laila shiver in her seat.

"No. It only threatened to kill me really. Don't know what is problem was." she mumbled.

Darien smirked. Hardly anyone except his sister, Elvey and him were sarcastic in front of the King.

Elvey saw him smiling and rolled his eyes.

King Aelfric huffed, "Well that doesn't help. Anyways," he got up out of his chair, "I believe it was a Greater Demon that attacked you and do you remember what it was saying to you?"

Laila was silent for a bit. Darien turned his head to her, she was looking at her hands and frowning. Thinking, he guessed.

Finally, she lifted her head with her brows furrowed, "She kept calling me 'little Fairfolk'."

Darien and Elvey shot out of their seat but Darien's father was already down the hall.

Looking confused, Laila asked Darien what was happening.

"Well see, if the demon was calling you Fairfolk, which means one of us, it could either be lying or just stating what it sees." he told her, looking straight ahead.

"Annnddddd...?" Laila asked.

"Considering what you did to that demon Laila.." he titled his head to the side so he could look at her. "There's a very high chance that you're a fairy."
