chapter 13

William POV

when I got home I could tell immediately that something was wrong with Riley he wasn't his usual self. He was being careful and too quiet. When I went to touch him, he would jump. I was terrified. What had made my sweet lover feel this way?

"Riley, are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine." His voice was shaky.

"Riley, please tell me what's wrong."

"I told you I was fine. Leave me alone." Riley stormed out of the bedroom. 

I rushed after him and grabbed his arm. He turned away and yanked his arm from my grasp. "I told you to leave me alone!"

Riley's POV

Could he just mind his own business! Why does he have to look at me like that? 

" I'm a big boy William I can take care of myself".

"I know, it's just I'm worried about you. You seem on edge."

"I know and I'm sorry for the way I snapped at you."

"It's okay, just please tell me when there is a problem. I want to help you solve it."

"Yeah, I know."

But right now that's just not an option...I can't risk her safety I thought.

"I just need some space right now William please understand."

William had a face of pure sadness on display. "Yes Riley, I understand."

"Thank you." I gave William a soft kiss on the cheek and walked back to the bedroom.

Williams POV

Why did he need time? Was it something I did or say? Was it because of our situation? No, it couldn't possibly because of that. Riley loved me. I saw in his eye and in his pants. I just wanted to bombard him with all my questions but I knew provoking any more wouldn't do any good. For all I know is that he could yell at me again and then leave me for a couple of hours maybe days. I need to keep his mind off it some how. I sat on my couch pondering ways to make little pet happy. What to do what to do, then it hit my brothers words. My sister was getting married. That's it I'm a genius.

Riley did say he always wanted to go to Italy.
