Chapter Eleven
When I opened my eyes it was not to golden light but to white light. It was soft from the sun. I was in a room that looked like it belonged to a five-star hotel. My head felt clouded, my thoughts were murky like they were five seconds behind my body. My skin felt prickly like it had tiny needles poking me everywhere I moved.
I could remember that happened before I was knocked out, but while I should be freaking out trying to find a way out my body was too heavy and I was exhausted from whatever drug the man stabbed me with.
I laid back trying to figure out a way to stop feeling so heavy, but none of my thoughts made sense.
"Don't worry." Said a voice to the side of the room.
It was then I realized that I wasn't alone. I looked to the side, to see a familiar man with white skin and red eyes. Flashes of running away from him, the sound of a sick pop, and the fear I had of him sunk deep into me.
I couldn't breathe, I couldn't think, and worst of all I couldn't move. I was stuck, after all this time, all these years, after fighting for years I couldn't do anything because my body was drugged. I didn't know what to do, or how fate would have this happen right now.
"Drew." I whispered.
"You remembered my name?"
I just glared at him, I was full of rage. I was so angry not only at him, but that at this moment. I could just kill him. I could slice his head open, or burn him alive like I had imagined so many times before.
"Well, Paul gave you too much of whatever the hell he gave you. The Dark one won't be too happy over that." He paused. "You know for someone who remembers my name you sure don't see too happy so me."
"I will kill you." I said, I don't know if it was that I was so angry I the drug was wearing off of if the drug was just wearing off.
"Maybe, I think we'll just have to see about that."
He left.
A few minutes later I could finally sit up and move around. My right arm was numb and in a makeshift cast, they probably gave me painkillers. I still felt drained, but I was alright. I looked out the window, I was in the second story. I tried to open the window, but it wouldn't budge.
I looked around, there wasn't much in the room, but a metal chair, a lamp, and the bed. I took the chair with my left arm, finding it to be less heavy than I thought it'd be with one arm. I swung it at the window. Knowing that even if that door was open, which I highly doubted, I could possibly get lost and caught. The glass didn't move though.
"This can't be happening." I whispered, and I tried again swinging with all the strength I could muster with my arm.
"This can't be happening!" I yelled, full of anger and throwing the chair at the window as hard as I could.
Luckily, I was still in my sweater and pants, although my boots and book bag were gone.
I sighed, needing to go to Plan B, the door. I gently touched the door knob finding it open. I knew that wasn't by mistake though, vampires wouldn't kidnap me and leave the door open for me to leave when I wanted.
I left the room quietly. The five-star hotel theme running into the hallways. I found a vase, and while I was sneaking I found an expensive looking vase. I took out the flowers and water throwing it on the floor not really caring about curtesy.
